Hi MPRS,

Is the song well known in America, only I always thought it referred to a specific time and event in Britain.

Oh. Haven’t got that far yet. Still struggling. Is 19 linen? One meaning of stuff in Chambers is fabric and the wordplay works. Completely stumped on 9.

9 - It's a very common word but not one that might not immediately be associated with "frequently" (although there is a common saying "they're coming ........and f....." which pretty much means that but "the same in Exeter" is a bit harder to find in Chambers - as was pointed out earlier, if you change the 4th letter to L and then look it up you'll see it.

Thanks, Brendan! That was my guess but couldn’t see how it worked. Where are you located? It’s 3 AM in the UK.

Well, one more hint if you don’t mind. For 13 I have the four letters I think, but still can’t figure the clue answer.
