Hi, Rusty!
Good to see that Dope Control is "on the job"!
Again, Well done, Laura!
How disappointing that Martyn Rooney was disqualified for a false start in the Men's 400m Final.
The commentators felt it was harsh decision as the crowd was a bit disruptive.
They felt a warning should have been issued instead.
Matthew Hudson -Smith won, with another Brit, Rabah Yousif, third.
Our fourth competitor came last.
Strongly represented in the event though.

Rusty, I thought Romain Bardet was 2nd in the GC after his win yesterday? Kreuziger is 6th - I think

Hello, Pigale,
Yes, that is so, Pigale.
By "on the road" I meant "at that particular moment" with his attack he had overhauled several riders on GC.
If the stage had finished there, he would have been second.
Hope I have explained myself properly!
All quiet at the loch.

Yes, I do know what you meant now;
Shame about lack of scenery due to weather conditions again today, but at least less crashes.

All quiet at the loch when I looked too.

Hello, Pigale!
I was amazed at how well the riders coped on the wet descents!
A procession to Paris now for Froome.
I have only seen the chicks at the nest today.
Wondering if Lassie has gone?

Good evening, Rusty!
Okay...follow up....
A good afternoon's Athletics - if not as exciting as yesterday!
We had two good 4 x100 men's teams.
Both A and B teams came 1st and 2nd - which augurs well for the Rio Olympics.
I don't know how much you watched?
(You obviously saw a lot of your favourite, cycling!)
KJT did well - she beat the British favourites in both the high jump yesterday and in the long jump today
And Mo Farah and - surprisingly - another Brit, Andrew Butchart - came first and second in the 5000 metres.
Gabby, Michael and Colin had an interesting discussion about the drug situation at the end!
I thought I saw Lassie in the nest this morning? There were four birds there, anyway.

Hello, Elle,
I saw little of the athletics.
Le Tour had most of my attention today.
The British athletes are in good nick prior to Rio.
Yes, that was probably Lassie.
Just that any time I looked in she was not there.
Is there athletics tomorrow?

Hi, Rusty!
No, no athletics tomorrow!
It was only a two day event.
I doubt there will be any more before Rio? the athletes surely will want to rest and make sure that they are fit for the Games?
Not long to wait now!
Oh I knew there was something else to tell you....
American Kendra Harrison shattered the world record in the 100m hurdles!
She beat the previous record by one hundredth of a second.
Ironically, she wasn't chosen to compete at Rio in the US team, because she finished sixth in the competitive US trials.
Sod's Law!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, USA have always had that system.
No favourites.
First 3 in the trials go to Games.
Perfectly fair.
Do you know why there is a "Great" in front of Britain?
It came into my head a couple of days ago.
I can not think of another country with a similar name.
There may be, but I can not think of one.
Just wondering how or when it came about?
I have no idea.
May have to find someone who is still at school, to tell me!
Three chicks in the nest, last I looked.
