Yes Rusty, Navarro has a collar bone problem.
Chris Froome seems to be suffering from one knee, (on top of rash and bruising) - he managed to make it safely to the finish even though it was not his own bike, but I hope he will be OK tomorrow for another difficult stage.

Hello, Pigale,
Yes, Froome finished on Geraint Thomas' bike.
Perfect example of why you should have team mates close by.
We are nearing Paris and I think they would have to shoot Froome to prevent him getting on his bike and taking the yellow jersey!

Good evening, Rusty!
Well, this time I have managed to open the PCT thread, so we shall see if my message will go when I finally press 'Send'!
How was the cycling?
Who is Tom Dumoulin - and what happened to him?
I see that the IOC will finally decide the fate of the remaining Russians from the other disciplines within the next week.
It is said to "Expect some retaliation from Vladimir Putin if Russian team banned from Rio Olympics"
Threats if no fudge?
What an ultimatum!
Some visiting Professor from Aston University in the US is saying that it not fair to ban all Russians when only a small percentage are guilty.
Er.......Hello? I thought these drugs were state -sponsored!
Right........... five minutes to zero hour.........I shall watch the Athletics at the London Stadium - it is on BBC2 at 8 o'clock.
Are you going to be watching?

Good evening, Elle!
I have athletics on.
Tom Dumoulin is a Dutch rider for Team Giant.
He broke his wrist in a crash today.
He was favourite to win the time trial at Rio, but goodness knows what will happen now.
It is a very hilly course and strong wrists are paramount. So...
I still think there will be a fudge for the Russians.
Their Paralympians do not know if they are banned or not.
A ridiculous situation.
And it is two weeks to go!
Forum very quiet.
Only Norah's thread and Les' thread with any traffic on it.

Hi, Rusty!
Sorry.......I did try to reply earlier on my tablet whilst watching the Athletics - but couldn't get through again.
What a shame about Tom Dumoulin - I guess his wrist fracture will mean the end of his Olympic hopes?
A good evening of Athletics at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium!
I missed a chunk of it (unbelievably another telephone call! some people have rotten timing!) but the programme is recorded so I shall catch up shortly before I go to bed.
Laura Muir's race was one that I missed, so I shall hunt for that in a minute!
I gather from the "inquest" , though, that she gave a brilliant performance!
All in all, we have some great athletes in the GB team going to Rio.
And a fitting end to the evening by Usain Bolt!
And good to see Adam Gemili run so well!

Good evening, Elle!
Maybe there is an access problem getting on the forum?
I am not sure about Tom Dumoulin.
Be a shame if he misses Rio.
Athletics were very good.
I won't say a word about Laura, but the race is worth watching!
Team GB has a very promising team heading to Rio.
Not long now, Russians or no Russians!

Hi, Rusty!
Wow! What a race!
How incredibly exciting!
I am so glad that I always record anything important, just in case the phone rings or some one drops by or whatever!
I should hate to have missed it!
(Thank you for not telling me in advance of my watching it!)
I couldn't believe it when I saw the gap between Laura and Hassan and the rest of the competitors continue to widen.......but then the way Laura pulled away from Hassan and won so very convincingly....!
And for it to be a new British Record!
Kelly Holmes' record broken at last!
I had tears in my eyes I was so pleased for her!
Well done, Laura!

Good morning, Elle!
Fine start to the day here.
Laura was super.
A credit to her sport and herself.
I hope she carries this excellence onward to Rio.
Hope there is more good athletics today.
I am just heading off to the shops for my paper.

Good morning, Rusty!
A lovely day here, too!
The night was very hot and humid though, and it was difficult to sleep.
It must have been about 4am before I slept.
Hence a later start to my day.
Going to go in the garden now and commune with my Hill's Hoist, whilst hanging out my washing!
Dog walk will be about 9am today.
I'm looking forward to today's Athletics!
Laura's triumph will take some beating!

Hello, Elle,
You are never alone with a Hill's Hoist!
I have watched Laura's run several times now, on YouTube.
Gets better and better.
Such grit and determination.
Dame Kelly has Tweeted "Congratulations".
She is very pleased for young Miss Muir!
A busy day for me.
I have athletics, le Tour, golf, and Gaelic football to watch.
For now, a quick glance at the papers then off for a walk!
