Radio 3 announcer has just said "rises to a crescendo". Surely someone on Radio 3 should know better?

The crescendo is the process of rising, not the peak. "Rises to a climax" perhaps?

Why don't commentators practise the Welsh "Ll.."sound? It's "Thl.." (more or less). I'm familiar with "Fl.." (as Shakespeare had it, in Fluellen", but I'm listening to commentary on rugby on TNT where one of the commentators keeps saying "Cl..."!
