Thanks Loge and Candledave. All clues solved but puzzle not yet complete.

Made a bit more progress … completede the synonyms and followed next step (which seems to confirm that there must be one exception to the 180 symmetry rule, unless I had something in the wrong spot). Just need to work out placement of remaining bits. I think this one was worth the slog. Very nice PDM that needs a bit of working through.

For the gallery clue, there are two letters unindicated, which makes it tricky.

I suspect you have used 5 cells for 2d when it needs 7 but I may be wrong

If the 1st letter of the Anfield clue answer is unindicated I am happy, if it isn't the white flag is coming out.

Hi Loge, that means this (to me) is another dodgy clue - unless I'm being rather thick. Venues for Avenues ? - surely

lex - I have 180 symmetry although I do have some ambiguity over where one answer starts which may be the issue?

Sorry, I hadn't seen the post from cd, but I am teetering n the edge of sanity at the moment.
