Hi Turast, I too completed last week's EV and I can see words in Flappy's completed grid which could suggest the same theme. More work needed.

I’m still struggling to get going. (I have about ten).
Can I have a hint, maybe 1a would be good, as I don’t have a lot in that area. I’m thinking maybe a Canadian resort with some letters changed.....?
32d is another that’s intriguing and would open things up.

Lumen, the Resort is very British! You need a Canadian singer (not a person) with a letter changed ...

Hi Malone,

I have the "resort", but what do you mean - not a person?

Thanks Malone. Not the grasshopper warbler this time!

Regarding 32d, I am assuming roads is extra word, with an old 5 letter word for ruin cycling, to become a newer 2 word phrase for ruin? If i am correct, both versions are under ruin in chambers crossword dictionary

Despite the name of this thread, there have actually been very few answers so far!

I have a complete grid, but I don't know the extra 3 letters to put in the bottom row.

I have three 7-letter types, which is nowhere near 52 cells.

I have no idea of how to systematically extract a letter from each extra word.

ideas, please?

Thanks
