Re prizes - see The Listener Crossword website. I was lucky enough to win 4 prizes last year (a bit greedy, I know!). I already had the Chambers Dictionary and the Dictionary of Phrase and Fable, and was able to opt for Chambers Crossword Dictionary, Chambers Thesaurus, Book of Great Speeches and Biographical Dictionary, so I now have a complete library and the bookcase is groaning under the weight! Ethik, think of another word for anorak, nerd etc, in relation to the world of IT. The first three letters are a navigational system, then 'kilometres' are added.

Difficult as first 2 letters are clashes - usual kilometres added to abbrev for radio-navigation system (RAF WW2)

Wow! I had a full grid and all the clashes but could not get. the phrases. Huge PDM and had it finished in two minutes. Amazing construction. Thank you Apt.

Thanks diver for the post at 31 - I never knew that you could choose a different prize. I always thought that the reason the entry slip requests a phone number was to stop duplicate prizes being sent. Hopefully I know will get the Chambers crossword dictionary.

I have everything except 18 across, which has me stumped. I have IO?LC? But two of the crossers must be clashes in order to complete the 13. Grateful for any help!
