A fairly easy grid fill, apart from14ac and 35 ac - tips welcome.

However, I have appeared to get 15 clashes, so I'm puzzled. Anyone else got the same problem?

Thanks

Hi dylan, I only got the required 13. Rather than "spoil" the puzzle for others this early if you email me with your 15 clashes I can point out your extra 2 and give hints as requested.

Hi Dylan

14a The clue uses ‘suffixes’ to mean ‘follows’. There is a clash. Last word is def.

35a is even more obscure! We need a two-word phrase for the first five words of the clue, then remove the first letter.

I found most of the clues fairly straightforward but have two to go. 12 clashes so far, no idea about the two phrases but can see the ten cells to be highlighted.

Got 5d now. Still got 14 clashes, not 13.
No idea about the order. Do the 10 cells form 2 words?

Fgsltw, the answer is a double definition. One meaning is an edict from the Pope, the other is a word meaning 'nonsense' (and it's often got another four-letter word attached to it, that word too means 'nonsense', but less politely!).
