I've done a dozen clues, but now ground to a halt. I thought 23ac would be an anagram, but no success. Any tips welcome, and for 1ac and 7dn. Thanks in anticipation.

7d usual word for "is able" inside a "fixed course/ boring course" + usual single letter for drug in there too... it's hyphened 5-3 too

Thanks for these. Is 26d MUD--? And I have AI-D for 7ac, but I suspect there's been a letter change somewhere. 1ac would still be useful!

I now have 1ac - an unusual word, with snowy containing a misprint in the clue. I also think I've got 11ac, but I can't parse the first 3 letters of my answer. The quotation is almost clear - but not quite!

Yes, I've got an N as the end of 26dn, but not sure if it's a wrong 'un.

11a was one of my first ... i thought the 1st 5 were the island and the next 4 the arable crop?

Of course! I took the 4th and 5th as an american "island"

Little progress made since yesterday. When I google a few words that seem to be in the message , I simply get references to modern pop songs. I'm especially weak in the bottom left corner, together with 1d and 2d. Help still needed, please
