Hello Elle,

Unfortunately some genetic disease are not always discovered at birth - same as humans really, how many children are not properly diagnosed until first symptoms appear as the child develop - sometime not before they are between 2 and 4 years old?
I sure hope the specialist can do something. If it is toxin based, then could it be something like Septicemia?

The puppy sounds very ill, elle. Some genetic diseases don't show until middle age. And muscular dystrophy until the child is- what? 18 months. 2? Sounds like a very nasty toxin. Let's hope he is OK.

It is a lovely blustery day here.
Bridge still closed to double decked buses.
I was speaking to two of the ASDA girls who live across the water and they had no problem crossing today.
They told me that if/when the bridge is closed to them, ASDA has asked them to go to the store in Glenrothes for the day, so they will still be paid. Good old ASDA!
That is a shame about the puppy.

I am afraid I only have very vague memories of my grandparents. They all passed when I was very young.
Anyway, we can't have too many Gorgeous Grandma days!

I am sorry for the long gap in my replying.
Younger daughter and Baby have only just left to pick up BB from school.
It will take them about an hour to get there.
Baby is now "walking" around the edges of the furniture.
He is only six months old, but loves being up on his feet!
He is gorgeous!!
Elder daughter couldn't arrange for pup to see the specialist today but has an appointment at 9.30 am tomorrow.

The three grandparents I knew were very remote and one grandmother truly dreadful. My grandpa was lovely but also remote. Because I am now putting 24 years worth of famiy history research onto my computer (no wonder it said no!), I have only just realised he got to 90 and didn't have a family gathering. How dreadful- he had all his marbles; indeed he sent in Saturday's prize crossword the week he died.
