I hope not Chris ! Yet it would not be the first time there is a drug problem on Le Tour.

I think it is very much a shame that no one dare/can attack Froome - Surely some team should have tried to do so - A few have with an immediate reaction from Sky/Froome, and then after that, everyone gives up.

Hello, Elle!
I read Down Under by Bill Bryson!
That's where the words came from.
Lots of info in the book.
Hill's Hoists are very popular!
We have just had a violent thunderstorm!
I think retrievers are handsome dogs.
Wee snippet for you from the Racing Post.
Victoria Pendleton is riding at Newbury (I think) tomorrow.
Then she leaves for Rio.
She is part of BBC commentary team.
Lawney Hill is very pleased with her.
Vic is there at least four times a week, riding out, etc and told them that this is the happiest she has ever been.
I am pleased for Vic!
She could not wait to escape from the British Cycling set up.

Hi, Rusty!
I shall never look at my rotary washing line in the same light ever again!
The only book I have read by Bill Bryson is "Notes From a Small Island" - and that was a very long time ago.
He is an amusing writer.
Victoria is progressing well in her new career then.
I am glad that all is now working out well for her.
She will be happy to be included in the BBC Commentary team.
Strangely enough, I was only commenting about Darren Campbell the other day and asking what had become of him.
He too is part of the BBC team!
What is happening with the other girls who were involved in the cycling situation with Shane Whats-his-name?
And the inquiry into the bullying claims?

Hello, Elle!
Well the Hill's Hoist is registered as a National Treasure by the National Library of Australia. So there!
I like most of Bryson's work.
The girl who was dropped from the Olympic programme was Jess Varnish.
She is becoming a nutrition expert and I think she has other irons in the fire, too.
Her boyfriend is competing in Rio but I do not know if Jess is going.
I follow her on Twitter, but she has not mentioned it.
The only girl who I have heard with a good word for Shane Sutton is Laura Trott.
I have heard nothing more about the bullying investigations.
Maybe after the Games we may hear something.

Elle, an update.
Laura Trott has just tweeted that she is spending her first night at a holding camp in Wales tonight, before they head to Rio.
I do not know if that is just the cyclists or all the British team.
And we still do not know if the Russians are going!

Hi, Rusty!
That seems very early to be heading for Rio? In view of the Zika virus situation?
Jess Ennis has said, has she not , that she will only be flying in for her event and not saying in the Olympic camp.
Yet on the other hand, I am now reading that August is not the mosquito season?
So does this mean that after all there is no, or little, risk after all?
Confusing?
Now.........I am in the dog house!
We received a letter from the local Council saying that our road is to be re-surfaced and therefore no cars are to be parked on the road on that date.
As we do not have a drive or garage , but only street parking, I urged (okay, I nagged!) my husband to move our car in plenty of time as there would be a lot of people looking for alternative parking in neighbouring streets.
Make sense, doesn't it?
So grumbling loudly, he went to do as I'd suggested .......
Oops! I got the wrong date!
I was a day early.... I had written it up on the wall calendar under Thursday, instead of Friday!
As it had taken ages for him to find somewhere to leave the car, I am not the most popular person in our house right now!
I shall go now and offer to make him a bedtime drink as a 'peace offering' ...............!

Good morning, Elle!
Lovely day after the thunderstorms.
I can match you getting the day wrong.
Last year I arrived at hospital a day early for an appointment.
But, fair play to them, they found my records and the consultant squeezed me in that day.
I was delighted. 10/10 for the hospital!
I do not know when Laura and co are leaving the holding camp but I would have thought they would need a few days to acclimatise to Rio.
She tweeted a photo of her new "cyber" pyjamas, whatever they are!
I like Trotty, hope she does well in Rio.

Good morning, Rusty!
We missed out on the rain and the thunderstorm!
A hot night, but a mite fresher this morning!
A very pleasant walk .
Temperature not expected to exceed 24C.
Fingers crossed that is so!
Ah yes, I remember now your going to the hospital on the wrong day!
I was well impressed by Scotland's NHS - that would never have happened here...you would have had to go away and come back again the next day!
No news yet on the Russian doping decision - I have heard conflicting accounts.
Some say that the decision will be announced today, but I also read that it would be on Sunday.
We shall see!
I shall now go and hang my washing on my "Hills' Hoist."

Hello, Elle!
I think the NHS are super!
It is warm here already.
There were some flash floods last night.
I caught a glimpse of Diane Lewis on a consumer prog this morning. She was good presenting!
I did not know she did that.
The Russians!!!
The dear Lord only knows what is going on.
You can't beat a Hills' Hoist, Elle.
A wonderful invention!

Hi, Rusty!
Do you mean Denise Lewis, Rusty?
(I don't know of a "Diane" Lewis?)
Denise Lewis who won an Olypmic Gold medal in the heptathlon?
She is now a regular Athletic pundit for the BBC - and does an excellent job of it, too, often alongside Colin Jackson.
The temperature is cooling down rapidly .......by comparison with the last few days, it is almost beginning to feel chilly!
I much prefer it like this!
I am beginning to feel "human" again!!
You will be watching cycling at some point today, I have no doubt.
What time does it start? What route do they take today?
We shall be going out shortly - about noon - to visit the cat for one last session.
Daughter and family are back home tomorrow.
