Hi, Rusty!
Yes, whatever it is, it has worked!
Adblock Browser?
Are you on your Hudl or Chromebook? I'm assuming that this is an Android application?
That is good news about your painter! Do you have a spare bedroom in which you can sleep? - one that isn't occupied by a Wendy House?
Have you chosen a colour scheme then ?
What are you planning to buy from the Pine Cone? You did mention at one point maybe having a look for a bigger Christmas tree? (or was that not a serious suggestion?)
A good time to buy, though , if you really are considering that.

Hello, Elle,
Yes, I find it strange.
Google Play Store will not allow Adblock Plus, yet allows Adblock Browser, in store.
So, I am trying it out.
I was using Firefox, but I always found it a bit stuttery.
So far, the Adblock Browser is OK....so far.
This is on Hudl.
I have chosen white for the ceiling. Not a clue about the walls!
I do have spare bedroom, but may head down to the nearest motel, out of the way. A wee holiday!
Not sure when next I am for the Pine Cone.
Must speak to the young ones!

Good morning, Rusty!
It is dreich, but thankfully a little warmer, here!
How about with you?
My friend very kindly came to collect the dog at 8 am, and has just returned her - happy and very muddy!
I shall suffer withdrawal symptoms this morning! I have no Cryptic crossword to do! The friend who sends the screen shots of the crossword has emailed me to say he is having trouble today with the Times download.
Roll on delivery of my new crossword book!
I have started reading a new Michael Connelly book - a riveting relaxing read!

Good morning everyone,

Hello Elle and Rusty,

How did you sleep Elle? Managed to stay in bed or did you have to go on the settee?

To avoid withdrawal symptoms, why don't you have a go at the Guardian xwords - free on line ? Just type 'crosswords on line' and there is quite a choice there; No times though. I have never done a Guardian puzzle but why not have a go if desperate?

Weather not really warm but ' brightish' with no sun. - temps should a high of + 5C at best of day !!!

Good day to you, Elle!
Fell dreich here, too!
How is the pesky cough coming along?
That's a pity about the crossword.
I did mine at midnight!
Just attempted the Times Quiz.
I got none of the 15 correct.
0 out of 15!
Try a couple?
1, Which moral philosopher was headmistress of Oxford High School from 1966 to 1972?
3, Neft Daslari is a man-made island in which body of water?
7, Which tarsal bone in the ankle derives its name from the Latin for "little ship"?
8, In the 2011 UK census what did 176,632 respondents put down as their religion?
13, Kumonosu-jo ("Spider Web Castle") is the Japanese title of which 1957 Akira Kurosawa film?
Now, d'ye see why I struggle !

Good morning, Pigale!
Very wet here today.
Hope it is better with you?
Well it is not Dundee Cake, anyway!
How about Edinburgh Rock?
Go with that, Pigale, until I get my thinking cap on!

Thanks Rusty, you've got it in one.

Greyish here today, slightly (ever so slightly!) warmer.
Looking forward to next week !

Not going to market today, but will go down tomorrow instead as we might have some sun.

Hello, Elle!
That is an excellent suggestion from Pigale.
Have you a printer?
If so, you can print off the Guardian xwords.
The archives go back years so there will be several thousands there.
Also, they store them by setters, too.
So, if you like Puck's crosswords, you can click on Puck and get all his.
I like Puck, and also the late Bunthorne and Araucaria.
My printer is kaput.

Hello, Pigale!
"Well done, me!" if I may quote Frankie Dettori !
That is the first thing I have got right today!
Yes, the market sounds fine, Pigale.
Meet your friends, have a wee snifter and a chat.
All good!
