Rusty, I meant to say that I was that surprised at Nibali's attitude - his team manager should have known better though ! Glad for Peter Sagan. Was it an intersting race today?

Good evening, Rusty!
I looked in earlier but found the forum shut down!
I'm gathering ( I think?) from what Bernie and Norah have said on the other thread that the Chinese were back in force?! I'm assuming that Ash closed the forum to try to solve the problem? Let's hope he has been successful this time!
What sort of a day have you had?
I managed to watch the Athletics in the end - several hours later than originally planned though.
I've organised my entire week very badly, in fact! I am going out for lunch with friends twice - tomorrow , then Wednesday.
When this was first arranged , I never gave a thought to the Athletics!
Ah well, friends come first, don't they?
Btw, no Aussies nor Kiwis seen! I wonder what happened to Sally whatshername - the hurdler?

Hi, Redcoral!
A belated reply to you as the site was shut down when I looked earlier.
You're not alone in having heavy rain - we're getting it here too - it's been like that all day. You just have the advantage of having it in a nicer environment than I do!
At least your grandchildren are finding holiday entertainment , despite the weather .
I hope you are keeping well.

Pigale, not too exciting.
I think, not certain, that Cancellara abandoned.
A bunch sprint. Spain is a very dry looking country?
Some great bits of civil engineering though.
Bridges, tunnels etc.
Elle, the only Aussie runner I knew by name was Raelene Boyle, and she ran about 40 years ago!
Just noticed no Aussies or Kiwis, which is strange!
This is a lot of gallivanting for you, this week?

Rusty, who am I thinking of - a blonde female Aussie hurdler? Sally ? This is frustrating, not being able to remember ....
Yes, I have a busy week socialising - my poor husband will be feeling abandoned!
It's just the way events worked out .
"Ladies who lunch" day has been moved to tomorrow just for this week, and on Wednesday I am meeting an old school friend.
I was reading what you told Pigale earlier about that cyclist hanging on to the team car in order to catch up with the pelaton - no wonder he was disqualified! What a cheat!
Yeah, keep those dogies rolling!

Rusty, you are right! Sally Pearson! Thank you!
But I remember now, she broke her arm very badly in a hurdles event. Was it earlier this year - or was it last season? I cannot recall?
I think it was in one of the Diamond Leagues....maybe this is why she isn't taking part now?
So you are off for a bacon roll tomorrow - will this be a fifteen rasher one?
I don't know where we shall be lunching - decide tomorrow! I shall think what I fancy....?
I see there is an infiltration of Chinese writing keeps appearing on screen again.....

Rusty, I should think they put the bacon on the grill when they see you coming! We had a lot of bacon baps while camping over the weekend. Also pigs in blankets, chicken kebabs and jacket potatoes in the embers. The children absolutely loved it. The open fire, making all the noise they liked, collecting and breaking up sticks.

I forgot the Snakes and Ladders, Elle, but will get a board.
Very annoyed that athletics has elbowed Great British Menu off BBC2. Whatever next? No, please no more sXXXt

Ros, how 'serious' was this camping?! Did you actually sleep in the tent overnight?
If so, "You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!"
Your grandchildren obviously had a whale of a time! And the food sounds mouth-watering!
Yes, do get "Snakes and Ladders" plus "Ludo" and "Draughts" - all to be highly recommended!
