and I apologise for anything I posted which has upset anyone. My post re social media was in response to Elle's mention of it and was only a repetition of what Norah had already stated much earlier.
Rusty, I was rather surprised at your remarks as it is unlike you, but you have no need to leave the forum, as you are much valued. If anyone deserves to leave, then it is me. I hope to see you back where you belong, chatting to your friends here. I am keeping off this thread until things calm down and to prevent my causing any more upset.

Rusty and jazzgirl, from a purely selfish point of view, I'd like both of you to stay - your contributions on crossword-solving are very much appreciated. I'd like it if you both keep solving even if you stop 'chatting'.

I only read last night's exchange of posts this AM and I fell both sorry and surprised that a small disagreement between two intelligent people has taken such big proportions ; it's a shame and I'm sure/hope it will pass......???
