Yes, there is still a Selfridges on Oxford Street - our posts crossed and I have already told Pigale about going to an exhibition there to celebrate the store!

Rusty, your little breeze does not amuse me anymore - a few minutes ago there was one gust stronger than the others and one of my neighbour's tree has been uprooted and has fallen over the fence. Luckily the house is quite a distance away from all fences so no damage done, but it sure made a lot of noise.

It was an evergreen tree and was starting to look unhealthy but they had not had the time to see to it yet - well it's all done for them now!

Hope none of my trees suffer in the same way -

Pleased that you are having the bell, and there are no wires . I fixed mine myself with no problems. My neighbour asked what I was doing drilling holes in the porch surround. I said anything a man can do, I can do (well almost anything !:)

Did you see Norah's message about "verification problems" on her new thread?
I know you don't know how to do 'screen shots' but maybe you could forward your email verification request(s) to her? That might help Ash to see what the problem is?
I'm struggling in the dark here - just a thought that it might help resolve the problem? for you and others?

My day hasn't quite panned out as planned- I missed a lot of the Athletics this morning!! but have recorded it, so will watch it at 3 pm once this morning's showing is over.
I never noticed the omission(?) of the Aussies? I will look out for one (or more) when I watch later!

I just click onto LAST on this mammoth script just to see what you are all up to this week! A number of our family have departed to Devon this week ..... In the rain! But at least they seem to have chosen a couple of different places with a range of both indoor & outdoor activity! One grandchild tells me they are doing pottery this morning & then swimming!
We live in lovely countryside in North Dorset so I am feeling sorry for all the holiday makers in this area although this mornings rain is now just a cloudy afternoon. We seem to have had our sunny days in May & I've been waiting for the warm sunny summer to reach us here!!!

Nice to have the Forum back. I tried to report it at one point was got nowhere - it was weird, my report did not show on the forum, and that was just before the site was shut off.

As Norah, what those people are hoping to achieve is beyond comprehension - let us hope it is not going to lead to more problems for the smooth running of the Forum.
