Hi rusty
There was a band called the "Boo Radleys". I bought theirmalbum for one song (linked below) - the rest wasn't much good!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, my friend named his dogs thus, after characters in the book.
Following that theme, I have also known two rough collies called Aslan (the lion in The Chronicles of Narnia) and Darcy (Pride and Prejudice).
I have a feeling that there was also a third dog - it was a long time ago - also a literary character, but I cannot recall his name.
I named my present dog from someone in "Bugsy Malone"!
I did not know about the Boo Radley band.
My daughter had her Park Run in the rain this morning.
I hope it is fine for the Children's Run tomorrow - BB and YB always take part!

Hello, Elle!
I have heard of Aslan!
There are several murals in Belfast with Aslan on them.
I have not heard of Darcy though.
There was a dog in the "Famous Five" books.
Timmy, I think?
I do not know the folks in Bugsy Malone!
Yes, lets hope for good weather for the children!

Thank you, for the info, Chris.

Hi, Rusty!
Mr. Darcy is the main male character in Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice", and Lizzie Bennett's eventual love interest.
I wish I could remember who the third rough collie of the trio was named after....the elusive memory is bugging me!
I know there were Aslan, Darcy and....who ?
I am wondering if it was possibly another "Scout".......?
Ah well, it doesn't really matter!
I have finished my book!
Now what shall I read now.....?

Hello, Elle!
I have vaguely heard of Darcy!
But, I have not read the book.
I rarely read fiction, you see.
I wondered if your dog was Rin-Tin-Tin, but he was a German Shepherd, so, no!
I have been reading about Mary Mallon (Typhoid Mary).
I found it very interesting.
The young ones are at the ice hockey tonight.
We are up 3-1 last time they texted to me!

Hello, Chris!
Okay......I have succumbed to your persuasion...and I have ordered the book...….
On your head be it.....!
At worst, it will give us something else to "argue" about!
And I may even enjoy it!

Hi, Rusty!
No, I think we are at cross purposes.....I probably did not explain clearly.
It was a real-life dog, but named after a fictional 'person' in a book!
The owner of the three collies was someone I met whilst we were on holiday in Pakefield many years ago.
We got talking over her literary choices, when she was yelling for her dogs to come!
Now....I was looking for something else to re-read and have unearthed some old books by Nevil Shute.
One was so old that it had cost 6 /- (six shillings!)
I didn't have the heart to throw them out, when I was donating books for the church roof fund!
Your granddaughters/ grandson too? / are very keen on ice hockey!
They were also there only last week, was it?
