Hi, Rusty!
Thank you for the BBC link......and great news about PT4 also taking flight!
I agree with you about the bulls.....
I think bull fighting / bull running etc is cruel to the animals. and should not be allowed.
There was an experiment carried out somewhere or other (Mexico?) by a University professor, who lined up all his students in an arena, told them to stand absolutely still, and then a charging bull was let loose among them....
Because the students remained immobile, the bull did not attack, but simply ran around to try to find a means of escaping.
The bull did not touch anyone..... no one was injured.
So he considered that he had proved that a bull will not attack unless it is provoked.
Well, I missed my Sports programme....!
My daughter phoned me just as it was beginning, and so I missed the first forty minutes!
Luckily, I always guard against this happening by recording the programme.....
So I shall watch it when it finishes ....if you get my drift!
The rain has now stopped here , and the sun is shining!

Hello, Elle!
There are many who think like you about the bulls and bull fighting.
There were large demonstrations against it in Pamplona, yesterday.
Seemingly, many who watch the bulls run in the morning do not realise the bulls will be killed in the afternoon.
I am not sure I'd agree with your professor!
On the bull ranches, the thinking is, the bulls only ever see mounted riders, so when they see someone on foot (matador) they attack.
That is mad thinking, for the bulls in the ring have already attacked the mounted picadors, before they meet the matador.
There are some graphic videos on YouTube about how the bulls are cruelly treated at some of these "festivals".
I have the cycling on, just now.

Hi, Rusty!
This is the article about the professor, the students and the bull...it took me ages to find it!
I hope the link and the video work.......

The Athletics programme was very good - a great improvement on presentation by the BBC this time.
The reason for the extra transmission time was because "The Night of the 10,000 PBs" was included.
Steph Twell won the Women's race!

I was glad to see that!
So how is the cycling going?

Hello, Elle!
There is a great deal of difference between a baby bull like the professor's and a four year old fighting bull which has been selectively bred for it's aggressiveness.
The fighting bulls are tested when two years old and must meet the aggressive standards or they are killed for meat.
Only very aggressive bulls and cows are allowed to breed.
Let the professor repeat his experiment with a four year old fighting bull from one of the famous Spanish breeders.
I saw a bit of the 10,000 last night, but only because I glimpsed Eilish in it.
Today's team time trial was won by Team Jumbo-Visma.
They were super fast!
Mike Teunissen stays in yellow.
I did not expect that!
Watching the football now.

Hi, Rusty!
I wouldn't know one bull from another, Rusty!
I just remembered reading, on the computer, something about an experiment, and thought I would chase up the article.
Yes, Eilish took an individual Silver medal in the European 10,000m Cup, and led GB and NI to the team Gold overall.
It was a good night for both Eilish and Steph!
The cycling seems to be going well.......
Mike Teunissen is a new name to me?
I don't think I have heard you mention him before?
I have switched off the TV now that I have caught up on the Athletics DL....time for a rest for my eyes before more Wimbledon tomorrow!
The sun is shining and it is lovely out now.

Hello, Elle!
Steph and Eilish did very well indeed!
I did not know they were running.
Teunissen was a surprise winner yesterday.
His role in Team Jumbo-Visma is as a lead out man for their sprinter, Dylan Groenewegen, but yesterday, Dylan crashed 2kms from the finish, so Teunissen took his chance in the sprint....and won!
And today Jumbo-Visma won again and Mike increased his lead in the yellow jersey competition.
Tomorrow they race to Epernay and there are quite a few hills on the way.
So...will he still be in yellow tomorrow?
We'll see!

Good evening, Rusty!
I hope Dylan Groenewegen was not badly injured in the crash?
These cyclists certainly "dice with death" in every race!
OK.....well, perhaps that is a tad exaggerated...but it is certainly a dangerous sport.
Mike Teunissen did well to seize the moment!
I shall stick to watching tennis.......far calmer on the nerves!
Although I'm not too sure about that when I was watching the Rafa versus Nick Kyrgios match!
Did you know that Kyrgios actually admitted in an interview that he had tried deliberately to hit Rafa with his shots?
And the way he verbally abused the umpire.....
I'd have had him thrown off the court!
I haven't yet looked up tomorrow's order of play?

Good evening, Elle!
Dylan will be sore for a day or two, but he did his best today, although he could not contribute much to his team and was dropped.
I think the worst affected yesterday was Jakob Fuglsang, who is a contender for yellow.
He damaged his knee and eye.
These riders accept the crashes as part of the job, Elle.
If you are going to race on a bike, you are going to be in crashes!
Hopefully they are not as life changing as the one that Kristina Vogel had, and Froome had a bad one, too.
I read that about Kyrgios attempting to hit Rafa.
Not sporting at all.
I think with some players the umpires need thick skin!
Nadal, Konta, and Federer, are all on Centre Court tomorrow, in that order.
I hope to watch Jo Konta, at least.
