Thanks again, Rusty. I'll watch 'Wimbledon Today' to see what - if anything - is said about Maria S's match. I also want to hear more about Bernard Tomic's match against Tsonga - the whole thing was over in less than an hour. Tomic has some history - a couple of years ago he admitted calling for the trainer when there was nothing wrong, for example - and a terrible attitude.

Hi, Rusty!
I am wondering whether Maria thought it sounded better to "retire injured", rather than be classified as "beaten by her opponent"?
A possibility?
Funnily enough, one of the commentators of the Federer/ Harris match remarked on how "coincidental" it could be that, when a player was losing, sometimes he developed an "injury" and needed the trainer.....!
I was unsure whether this remark was prompted at the time by Lloyd Harris' action on court.......
Or whether that incident just called to mind a parallel case.
But it might fit the bill with Maria, don't you think?
Madison Keys is due to play Perlona Hercog tomorrow at 4.15 pm on Court 3.
If you type in "Wimbledon tennis schedule" on Google , you will get a list of all matches for the day.
It also give the live results on there, so you can follow the progress of other tennis players, too.

Thanks for the link, Elle. I snorted earlier when I read Tomic's comment about possibly being fined - he said he'd played 'as best I could'. I felt a little sorry for Pat Cash when badly-behaved Australian players were being discussed - and that was before Tomic and Kyrgios played this afternoon!

Update, Rusty!
I've just watched a documentary that I recorded last Sunday.....
"John McEnroe: Still rocking at 60!"
Sue Barker was doing the interviewing and it covered most of Mac's tennis career and parts of his private life in parallel with that.
They showed old clips of his creating on court, shouting at the umpire and linesmen..... and yelling "You cannot be serious"!
And also showed how he lives now..... and all the good that he tries to do with youngsters in his tennis academy.
I enjoyed it!
I've read both his autobiographies, as you know.......and heartily recommend them (again) if you still have not read them!

Hello, Elle!
Sharapova could have got the ball boy into trouble?
He is not supposed to be helping an injured player.
She had a physiotherapist helping her, too, at the same time.
She has never been the same player since she had the drug ban.
I have several programmes recorded to watch so I'll give McEnroe a miss.
There was one on one of the American channels yesterday about the Battle of the Somme, that I recorded.
I like McEnroe now, but not when he was playing.
Still warm here, been a fine day!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I agree with you......
I, too, like McEnroe now - he is a great character - and I like the fact that he can now laugh at himself for being such a "super brat"!
He talked of the great friendship and affection he has always had with Bjorn Borg, and what a good influence Borg had on him.
Borg, too, was speaking well of Mac, in the programme .
Speaking of "old" recordings, I still have not watched the film of Vera Brittain's "Testament of Youth"!
It was ages ago that I recorded that!

Hello, Elle!
I really liked Bjorn Borg.
I have not seen him in a long time.
Apparently Andy Murray has chosen Serena Williams as his partner in the mixed dubs.
I hoped it would be someone other than her!
Anyway, I follow Judy Murray on Twitter and this was her Tweet earlier this evening.
"Dear Andy,
Your Gran is so disappointed.
But she concedes that Serena may just have the edge on her.
Love from Mum. X "
I like Judy's style!

Hi, Rusty!
I know that Borg stayed away from Wimbledon for a long period, after his retirement from tennis, but for several years now he has been reappearing there again to watch the Finals.
I am surprised you have never spotted him?
I hadn't heard that Andy and Serena had teamed up!
Oh dear! I have never "warmed" to either of them!
I like Judy's "tweet"!
She is again proving she has a good sense of humour!
We have another warm sunny day, with a gentle breeze, forecast for tomorrow.
This must be the driest Wimbledon ever!

Hello, Elle!
I shall keep an eye out for Bjorn.
I always have a look for Jack Nicklaus, as he often comes from the US for Wimbledon.
Serena and Venus often practice on Jack's tennis court at his home in Florida.
Oh, I like Andy, but can't be doing with Serena, especially since the "panic room" carry on.
Pity it was not Martina Hingis he chose, or his Granny!
