Hi, Rusty!
Sorry for the delay......... I've been out looking for Middlesex.......
I'm sorry if I've confused you; I'm confused myself too!(see my post to Rosalind)
Middlesex is still listed as a Home County. I have friends whose address incorporates it as a county? I did a survey in the park this morning - everyone still thinks it exists! Maybe Ros will further elucidate!
(I may have to go round tomorrow and tell everyone they were wrong!!!!)
My crown is prehistoric and has to be replaced - so not as easily fixed as yours. I'll need two appointments- one today and another in a fortnight.
Re your bowel cancer kit and the colonoscopy. As you previously had those polyps removed , I think the most likely scenario is that you will be given a regular colonoscopy check from now-on - so yes, give the hospital a ring to verify this. You don't want to miss out on that, it is a better safety measure that the bowel screening test for occult blood.
I have a friend recently moved to Rutland - I think he said it's next t Leicestershire?
But as of now, I have no faith at all in where anywhere is - it may have been moved overnight.......

Good morning pigale
Kew Gardens is in Surrey (postal address is Kew, Richmond, Surrey. It has so many new attractions now, including a treetop walkway. Very impressive.
If you go to www.kew.org you can see it all

Hello, Doglet,
Glad the Caps Lock tip helped you.
I find it much better.
Now, if I can find out how to log on without typing a password I'll be content!

P. S. Dorking probably rang a bell because during last year's race, Jazzgirl posted a link about the vineyards there. Lovely area!

Hello, Elle!
Have I opened a can of worms (wonder where that came from?) with Middlesex?
If you are not too busy, could you return to the park and do a survey on where Rutland was, and what happened to the Ruts?
Crowns are fairly easy to do, I think.
Just phoned the colorectal folks.
They said the two procedures are independent of each other!
So, I shall comply with their wishes.

Yes Jazzy, just had a look and I can see it has changed quite a bit - I went there in 1983 but my husband lived and worked there in the early 70s, and after a little while, though still working in Kew, he moved to Richmond Hill - Obviously it was not very far for him to travel !

Unfortunately it was only a flying visit for me, we were in London for a professional appoinment and took advantage of the trip to see his old colleagues.

Rusty, that's good - better be safe than sorry as they say! Two procedures are always better than one!
Incidentally, it's best to leave a few days between doing each procedure of the bowel cancer screening test - it give s a broader spectrum of results.
Would "open a can of worms" be in your new book?
I've got a "waterfall " clue for you from today's Times QC.........
What may prevent one seeing waterfalls? (9)
Quite clever.....
