Hi, Rusty!
I have been on tenterhooks here...but the vet has finally rung!
The cat definitely has pancreatitis - cause unknown as yet.
He is on a drip to rehydrate him, a long acting antibiotic injection to beat the infection and bring down his temperature......and pain killers because pancreatitis is "no picnic" to endure!
The vet would like to keep him in for at least another 24 hours.
This is fine by me, as we have the funeral (of my friend's daughter) to attend tomorrow, and would not be around to keep an eye on the cat, had he been able to return home.
It is as well he will be under vet supervision.
We are going to visit him at 6 o-clock!
I found the Everyman very satisfying this morning!
I hope you enjoyed your walk?

Good afternoon, Elle!
Seems best to leave the cat with the vet.
Hope he is a bit improved when you visit him.
Glad you took to your puzzle earlier.
My walk was just a bit of a stroll.
Did not get too far as I met several folk I know when out.
Quite a bit of chat going on!
It is a smashing day here!

Rusty, I know you don't usually do crosswords on Sundays, but I liked this clue...

Airline attraction that is behind in Bannockburn (8).

Hi , Rusty!
My walks in the park are like that...always someone wanting to chat!
Aw, the chick is gorgeous!
Bless him - he keeps falling over.
I forgot to watch the Relay races that were being shown on the BBC....
I hope I remembered to record the programme...only Highlights though
Did you know about them.....and maybe watch?
I loved the mention of the stork on the beach, by the way.....

Hello, Malone!
Could it be "BA hook ie"?
Surely not!
Which paper is it in, Malone?
Must be Scottish one. It has to be!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, I know the chatty feeling!
My granddaghters are always giggling when we go out because "Granddad speaks to every single person we come across".
Yes, the chick is doing well.
He/she will get stronger by the hour on the high protein diet!
I had not heard of the relay races until today.
Next Sunday there is some sort of celebration on the centre court at Wimbledon.
I don't know why or what, but it's on BBC TV.
The photo of the stork is a cracker.
It is silhouetted in a beautiful pinkish golden evening light against the sea.
I was impressed!

Rusty, well done! Yes, it is Bahookie - and it was in the Sunday Times Mephisto puzzle. It was a word I'd forgotten about, but came to mind instantly!

Hello, Malone!
Bahookie is a great word!
I am pleasantly surprised it was in Mephisto though.
Collins Dictionary certainly has it, don't know about Chambers.

Glad you liked getting re-acquainted with the word, Rusty. Yes, it's also in Chambers.
