Hi, Rusty!
Yes, Gabrine played very well - as I said before, the score didn't really reflect the standard of play.....Gabrine had nothing of which to be ashamed.
She played brilliantly. Serena just played better.
(Sorry, I don't know about Gabrine's earrings!)
Jamie Murray now playing doubles...I don't feel the same antipathy towards Jamie as I do towards Andy - I hope Jamie wins!

No, I didn't know about the little people living under hawthorn trees!
We tend to call them May trees- and we have one in our garden!
Should I now regard it with grave suspicion?????

Elle, not wth grave suspicion, but it is imperative that you treat the hawthorn with great respect. If you hear faint voices under the tree, move away respectfully.
Keep in with the little people, they can make for bad enemies.
That is what I told the young ones before P in the Dark.
Mind you, they were a bit excited, so maybe they did not take much notice.

Rusty, Goodness me, I didn't know all that information about the may tree! Very interesting - thank you for sending me that.
(Do I need to curry favour...would it help if I went out and gave it a hug?)
Watching the Mens' Doubles final .... haven't seen any before this - quite a shock to discover that the Bryan Twins and also the no 2 seeds went out earlier.
Jamie and partner two sets down.
BTW, Martina H yet to play her Dfinal...she's on after this mens' match.

Elle, as long as you treat a hawthorn tree with respect you will be fine.
The little folk like to be left alone and dislike noise, so when in the vicinity, Elle, just amble gently, and none of your gallumphing about.
The little folk are honouring you and your family.
It is not everyone who can say they have faeries at the bottom of the garden.

On a more sombre note, I hear a man has been found dead at P in the Dark.

Hi Rusty!
"Galumphing about...." ....... I am the essence of daintiness, Rusty! (well...maybe not.....)

But on a serious note, I've just googled about the dead man found in the park - not a lot of info .... 36 years old. Apparently, the police received a video of an assault? The death to date seems to be being treated as 'unexplained'?

Will this effect the 'party'? Will it be allowed to continue?
Are you worried about the girls- do they have boyfriends with them as protection?
And there has to be "safety in numbers" ... amongst all those thousands of people it should be safe enough?
Mind you, If it's a "domestic", I doubt there will be further problems?
Disturbing never-the -less.

Martina just started playing now.

Hello Pigale
Sorry for late response - iPad had a virus.
Cricket and Rugby are both wonderful sports - and both are competed for vigorously by England and Oz/NZ. Todays result in Cardiff is not only great for England but also annoys Australians considerably, which is a bonus! You are correct, the match was one of the Ashes series of five. It is the Holy Grail of cricket!
I haven't visited Oz or NZ but they seem to like coming here!
I have had a happy morning during which I was explaining to some Chinese about why cricket is so great and why a rugby ball isn't round! There was much shaking of heads!

Elle, you can practise galumphing quietly?

You know as much as me about the death, Elle.
36 seems old to be at P in the Dark?
There is always a large police presence but there were reports in my press this morning about thefts from tents. I think the "unexplained" bit will be because there has been no post-mortem yet. There will be lots of CCTV cameras. I am not sure if they get a mobile phone signal there. Pity. My girls are in seperate groups.
No word on the osprey family.
