Elle,
Martina is in two finals. Isn't she clever!
Both with Indian partners
.
Plan B today. Road to Pine Cone was closed, so went to another nice cafe out in the country.

I firmly endorse Pigale's last sentence about the mountains.
Eyeballs out in tomorrows team time trial, a rest day, then Le Tour heads for the Pyrenees. The mountains!
May even see a bear!

You know Rusty, I would not be surprised if we saw someone from Bretaghe-Seche Team - I am sure they will want to shine on their land !

Unfortunately, I don't think I know any of the riders, do you?

Hi, Rusty!
How was the new car(what colour is it?) - and the 'new' café? Did both come up to expectations?
Now, before I forget, according to my TV guide, P in the Dark is being shown on Sky 115 - will that not be the same on your TV? (I didn't really understand what you were saying before?)
That's good about Martina - so she and Leander Paes must have won their match the other day if they are in the Mixed Doubles Final.I hadn't heard that result -that is what I was asking you about last night.
I promise to carry on doing my 'homework' and studying my notes about the cycling! especially if you promise me a bear!
No, better not sit under any hawthorn trees...the ospreys may take their revenge......
Not long now to the start of the Ladies Finals.....

No, Pigale, that is a new team to me!
Hope they do well.
Good to see the roads starting to go up and down!

Elle, the little car is white.
We have been to the cafe before. It is called the Joinery.
was very good, and was staffed by three very chatty young girls. A success!
TV. My TV menu is set up to ONLY show channels of my choice. There are countless channels I do not want, for instance, all the Asian news channels, all the pop music channels, childrens channels, cooking channels, God channels, shopping channels, movie channels etc.
BBC3 has no appeal to me so it is not in "my menu".
I have it tailored for me and and me alone
.
I can't "promise" you a bear, now!
But they live in the Pyrenees. Pigale will know more than me!
Possibly wolves, too? And certainly golden eagles!
Now... what have ospreys to do with hawthorn trees?
They nest in tall pine trees.
Enjoy the tennis.

Rusty, Serena has taken the first set... you may have to say goodbye to your money.... I've got my fingers crossed but I think it may be in vain...
No idea what hawthorn trees have to do with ospreys?
You said the girls shouldn't sit under hawthorn trees?- the only reason I could think of was an angry osprey!

Yes, there are bears in the Pyrenees, there has been bears living there for hundred of thousand years.

A few years ago there was quite a controversy between some 'pro' bear population there, and some ' anti', mostly farmers because of the damage caused by the animals.

Nonetheless the majority of Pyrenees folks have no objection and in the olden days, the best Bear tamers came from that region and travelled over the country with their animal, earning their living as they went along.

Ah well... all over..... Serena has won .... two straight sets, but the score doesn't reflect the standard of the tennis - Gabrine played very well indeed- it was a good match!
Rusty - that's the end of your bet!
Doglet. our wishing has been in vain!!!!
Pigale, changing the subject...I'll look forward to maybe seeing a bear then!

Elle, there you are, Pigale has promised you a bear!
We went to a wedding on Le Tour today.
Lovely bride and groom surrounded by their wedding guests in the shape of a heart!

Did Gabrine play well?
What was the emblem on her earrings?

No, you are silly! Ospreys don't nest in hawthorn trees.
But, surely you know who lives under a hawthorn tree?
Surely?
The "little people", or "fairy folk".
That is why you should never sit under a hawthorn tree.
They may be annoyed, and you may disappear and not wake up for twenty years.
Are their hawthorn trees in Kent?
If so, Elle, mark my words, be very careful around them.
Never irk the little people.
