Hello, Elle!
Never mind the tennis!
What about "a pop"?
Are you convinced yet?

Hi, Rusty!
Oh, it isn't that I don't believe you......
And I accept that Chambers gives that definition.
But I'd never heard of it ...... and it still doesn't make any sense whatsoever to me!
I bet you if I went around asking folk if they knew what it meant in that context, most would have no idea!
I do not like it!

Hello, Elle!
"A pop" meaning "each" is often used in the circles I frequent.
I'd say it is fairly well known across the country.
Maybe the young ones do not use it, but many do.
It is cold here tonight!

A Very good morning to you, Rusty!
I am behind times this morning!
I was up late (for me) and consequently out later walking the dog.
Avery wet and cold day!
I hope the weather is better in your neck of the woods!
Have you been out for your paper?
Any plans for today?
Are you meeting up with your granddaughters?

Good morning, Elle!
I am late on the go, too.
No paper today, just staying home, quite a bit of snow still on the pavements etc.
Had more snow overnight and some forecast for tomorrow.
Temperatures to rise from Monday though!
It is a lovely morning here, though.
Done the puzzle online today.
Quite a good one!
What's happened to the Malone Times today?
It was good yesterday!

Hi, Rusty!
We still have rain...I think it is more or less set in now, until mid morning on Monday, when the temperatures are due to rise.
Still, it is preferable to snow!
I too have completed the crossword.
As usual, Saturday's puzzle is always easier!
I especially liked 28a! although I also liked 23d "Solon" and 25a "Royal blue"
I still have a few not fully parsed...but this will give me something to chew on over the day!
Not that there is a lot of the day left........I am really chasing my tail!
I have a lot to sort out......

Rusty, I was thinking of publishing another edition of the Malone Times today - but there were umpteen pages of spam this morning. I'd have had to title it 'The Jumbo Jumbo XXXXL Malone Times' if I'd tried to supply enough clues to bump the spam into oblivion!

Thanks, Rusty - lucky you, missing the huge portions of spam this morning. I'm sure the Malone Times will have further editions!
