Hello, Elle!
Just finished BGT, and oatcakes and coffee (a wee strupak!).
The acts that appealed to me, were,
Coventry Cheerleaders,
Destiny,
Leah Barniville,
Tanba (and Alesha speaking Japanese!)
Pensionaires.
What were your favoured acts?
I think next Saturday is the last heat.
Weather has got duller here.

Hi, Rusty!
I like oatcakes!
My most appreciated act was Tanba........
I am not a great lover of magical acts, but that was incredible!
I gasped in horror at the swallowing of the razor blades - and in amazement when they all came out again, tied at intervals to a long string........
But no way did I ever expect to see that balloon again!
However did he do all that?
Apart from that, I liked Leah, the young opera singer, and Kyle, the young lad whom David had apparently told (on Kyle's last appearance on the show) to go get himself a voice coach!
He did - and it worked!
And David pressed the Gold Buzzer!
I liked the first act, too; the 24 acrobats. A very well practised performance, wasn't it?
I thought the two elderly gentleman were great - good for them - although they were possibly better as comics when seen talking together in between all the acts!
In fact, that was what I was expecting....I was taken aback when they started singing!
Everyman all done and dusted!

Hello, Elle,
I think Tanba was very good.
I have not seen a better magician.
I would like to hear Leah sing something different.
Something to show off her voice better than the one she sang yesterday.
The two old lads were super!
The only act I did not rate was the man with the green hair and guitar.
The clarinet player was so-so.
With one more heat to go, my favourite act is Mr Williams' Welsh choir, Angelicus Celtis.

Hello, Elle!
Bad news from Loch Garten.
The male bird, Odin, has not been seen since Thursday.
The female, EJ, has three chicks and they are not being fed.
It is possible Odin has been chased away by younger males which are known to be in the area.
Anyway, the rangers at Loch Garten say they will not intervene and feed the chicks.
They have posted a very long blog explaining what they think has happened and the reasons why they will not intervene.
So, not so good!

Hello, Elle.
With reference to the Loch Garten ospreys.
If you go to BBC News website and click on Scotland/Highlands and Islands, the full story is there.

Hi, Rusty!
Oh dear!
That is such worrying news from Loch Garten.
I do hope that Odin returns unharmed, but it doesn't sound likely after several days absence, does it?
Yes, I have now read the Loch Garten Osprey Diary with all its explanations, and pros and cons for the decision not to take any action.
I can understand the non- intervention policy.
Were the staff there to feed EJ and the chicks, it would solve the problem short term.
But if Odin never returns , then the human interaction might have prevented another (younger) male taking over Odin's duties.
But it must be a heart- breaking decision for them to have to make.
Fingers crossed, though, that Odin may yet turn up!
Re BGT, I do not think I have a favourite as yet.
I am impressed with Tanba and with Tokio though.

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Our lovely day has continued!
It is glorious out and far too warm for any jacket!
I hope you are experiencing similar good weather?
We are back home again for the rest of the day....any further outside activity will be in the garden.
My husband is cutting the grass at the moment, and my hay fever has driven me inside for now.
This is the first bad day I have really suffered so far this year.
Have you been out for a walk?
How is Horace getting on?
