Hello, Elle!
Yes, Miss O finishes her job at 11 and will collect us.
I do not think I get a present on Fathers' Day but a nice card and that does me fine.
I still have some Christmas cards up, you know.
The "special" ones.
In my living room and bedroom.
I have finally managed to stop them buying me socks because I have several pairs which I have never worn.
I only wear Bridgedales and they are indestructible, though quite expensive.
So, it will be my own money for my next purchase from Amazon!

Good morning, Rusty!
A lovely day here - blue sky and sunshine - middling warm.
We are just back from our walk.
The sunshine enticed out all the Running Club members this morning.......there must have been about two hundred of them!
I hope all the activity didn't disturb the goose and her four goslings - she has made her nest in such an odd place.
I haven't had breakfast yet as I got up slightly later than usual, and went out straight away, so will go and forage for something now!
You have your bacon roll still to come!
I hope you enjoy your outing with your granddaughters.

Good morning, Elle,
We have gentle rain here!
I was up early and crossword was finished around 7.15.
I did it online!
There was an article in my local paper about the wee squirrel visiting Lassie!
Yes, I am looking forward to seeing the girls.
Will be fun!
They are going to Pitlochry tomorrow for Etape Caledonia.
They have friends riding the event.
I see that Zola Budd is running in the Stirling marathon tomorrow.
Hope she does well!
Be nice if she met up with Yvonne Murray again.

Hi, Rusty!
Goodness, you did get an early start!
It takes me most of the day, on and off, to finish the 15 x15 - although I usually do much better with Saturday's puzzle!
Maybe a different setter on a Saturday?
I cannot remember the circumstances of Zola Budd meeting up with Yvonne Stirling? Were they friends? or otherwise?
It would have been around the same time as Liz McColgan was competing , too, wouldn't it?
Who was it that Zola was at loggerheads with ? and they "made up" fairly recently?
Or am I way off beam and thinking of someone else?

Hello, Elle!
There is a photo of Zola and Liz meeting yesterday.
But she raced against Yvonne Murray too.
I have not heard of Yvonne for years.
Zola and Mary Decker made peace recently.
Zola was blamed by many (not by me) for tripping Decker in the Olympic final.
I am sure it was a simple accident.
The puzzle is quite a good one today.
And BGT is on later.
Wall to wall tennis for you next week on EuroSport!

Hi, Rusty!
Zola and Mary Decker!
Yes, that is right! I remember now, reading about their "reunion" and how they had "made friends"
At the time, I watched a mini video on Youtube of the event that had caused all the friction.
It didn't look to me as though it were done on purpose.
There was such a lot of controversy over Zola , generally, though, wasn't there?
Eurosport Player usually notifies me if there is tennis or athletics coming up.
I haven't heard anything yet?

Hello, Elle!
There is tennis on EuroSport 2 from Monday to Friday next week, from 9.00 am until evening.
There appears to be two venues, Geneva, and the French Open Qualifiers.
Weather not nice here.
The girls and me had a nice time at Pine Cone!

Hi, Rusty!
It is good that you had a nice time at the Pine Cone with your granddaughters.
I shall look out for the tennis then, next week.
The picture I get on Eurosport Player is very good, and so far the sport covered has always been excellent.
My only 'complaint' is that it needs to watched there and then and cannot be recorded.
This, of course, is not always practical.
There is a 'video section' where one can search for past events, but one is not always guaranteed to find them!
I have been out in the garden weeding!
But it has just started to rain...so a good excuse to stop!
Yes, BGT tonight!
You know, it is growing on me......I still do not have much tolerance for the "rubbish" acts...but I am liking Alesha and Amanda's reactions - and the interplay of the judges is good.
And Simon appears to be a changed man!
Maybe it is fatherhood that is mellowing him?

Hello, Elle!
Well, EuroSport has around 8 or 9 hours of tennis each day next week so you should catch some of it.
Rain here, too!
Yes, I like the judges on BGT, but I think Simon could smarten himself up a bit, and have a shave.
It would put him on a par with David, (and Ant and Dec) and Amanda and Alesha are always very fetchingly turned out.
No scruffy t-shirts for them!
But, yes, Simon does seem to have mellowed and it suits him!
I had a wee look at the betting to see who is favourite to win and Paddy P have the Missing People Choir as favourites.
We shall see!

Hi, Rusty!
Now that surprises me about Paddy Power.......
I think the Missing Persons Choir an excellent idea for promoting the members' problems, and need for help, in locating their relatives and friends.
I greatly admire what they are doing...but I didn't rate their act all that highly on the accomplishment scale - on the humanitarian scale, yes, I would give them full marks.
I think it wonderful.
But I am thinking they got more of a 'sympathy' vote?
(You can shoot me down in flames, if you don't agree!)
There will be a lot of sympathy, too, for the young girl with scoliosis - indeed, as there should be - but I don't know whether it is right for 'external reasons' to hold sway when it comes to judging "talent"?
Maybe the answer to the young girl's health problem would be a "Just Giving" page....in fact, I am rather surprised that this hasn't already happened.
(unless, it has, and I haven't heard of it?)
We quite often get appeals in our local paper for similar issues.......
To digress....I think Simon's glasses suit him!
