The theme...
Help towards the theme may also be sought here. The help given should be fairly modest - just a nudge, a pointer in the right direction. Aim to give something that would help a struggling solver while not spoiling the puzzle for others. Any posts which, even inadvertently, reveal too much of the theme are likely to be removed.

I have just tried to find this Listener on line, and have encountered set of windows I have not seen before. Can any body advise? I can't seem to see 4845 anywhere. Does it mean we have to wait until tomorrow? Very frustrating.

Cancel that. I just went back to my original log-in sequence and it worked, but my Icon is now labelled "Digital subscriber". Some techy jiggery-pokery which it is beyond my meagre brain to comprehend, no doubt.

Have gridfill, but am unsure how to interpret the earlier part (don't want to give too much away) of the first instruction. The 18 letters of the three thematic items are also causing difficulty: I can find 11 (if I have the category right) but not the rest. Time to switch off and do something else.

Enjoyed this one, a welcome challenge; thanks to Brock. It's quite tough to follow through on the various misprints/corrections but the preamble is very precise.

Agreed, all very precise and a real challenge this week I think.

I’m not sure the preamble is quite as precise as it should be. The verb “enter” implies direction; “overlap” or “intersect” would be better, IMHO. And I don’t much care for how X is used. But maybe I got the wrong end of the stick. Certainly a challenge, though

I very much like the various ways 'X' works (perhaps 'enter' is slightly loose but it didn't hamper me in any way).
