Hello all!

After a bit of help to finish, have enjoyed it so far but got a bit stuck with 19d and 21d. I think I have all the crossers and can’t think of words that work so I’m wondering if I’ve got something wrong - is it possible to get some clues for those two? Also would love someone to parse 26a as I have a word which I can’t make work other than it fits with 24 but it may be why I’m struggling with 21d.

Thanks all!

19d parses as 4 ("family") surrounding [1 ("posh"), 2("doctor")]
I hesitated because I've much more frequently seen the 2 "doctor" letters in the reverse order.

21d is 3 ("indication of fear") inside 3 ("soldiers"), definition "become submissive".
Not a common usage.

19d definition is "socialite", e.g. a "Drone" in the Wodehouse oeuvre. :-)

Thanks Geeker - I have 19d now - it’s what I thought but could get the parsing right so thank you for that. I fear I’m being a bit dim re 21d! I’ll blame the sun! Are the crossers M*E*A* right?! Sorry!

26a. One who fixes is a fixer. One who sits is a sitter. One who cons is a conner. Etc. answer is a three letter abbreviation followed by a two letter abbreviation.

Close, but one slip: your penultimate letter is incorrect..."soldiers" is plural. Perhaps 26a is off?
