I am surprised that top restaurants are not following the practices of your market cafe. You seem to get excellent food and service, and at good prices. I know you are rather demanding, but I think they were right to turn down your request on this occasion.

`The Sale of the Century` ... I`m pleased County Cricket seems to have secured its future financially by selling off the `Hundred` but worry about the implications for 4 - day Championship Cricket - which is what I care most about!

Good week for the Blues! Sir David Moyes seems to have the Midas touch!

As a Scot, I have always thought of the Welsh Ll as "Chl" with the ch as in loch. Any Welsh I have heard spoken as confirmed my view.

Ll at the start of a welsh word has an almost unpronounced hint of a th before the l, rather than the hcch (can't decide how to write it!) of loch.

I agree and I can't spell it either.

For me it's an L with the tongue on the upper teeth.

In a recent item about single malt whisky, the Beeb illustrated it with pictures of Johnnie Walker Black Label, a well known blended whisky.

Yes I want nothing to do with the 100, but it seems to have been a life line for Counties. So hoping they wont reduce the Championship.

Everton are indeed going well under Moyes, really only changed the right-back, but his arrival has improved a couple of players.

I see Rovers are going well.

I`ll probably never see a 100 game live - I have seen one T20 game at Scarborough but the Championship, or proper Cricket as we call it, is what interests me most.

Rovers are well placed in the table - we need a good finish to make sure of promotion - I`ve got everything crossed!

Sounds like Cassie has got your measure!
