And after an hour of staring I found those two right after posting. Now onto this elusive third.

The Sunday morning coffee has worked a treat again. Spotted the first 2 yesterday and finally gave up looking for the 3rd. Saw in in 5 minutes flat this morning. Fits the definition in Chambers, but not that in the song.

drxx @ 32 - thanks for sorting out 15a - spot on!! I did think that the fairness of the clue, as is, was a little tenuous, but it is now purrfect.

If I've read it right the "maulers" are a group of cats which are then reversed minus the "fellow" giving "aged".

I have the song title so know the 3rd letter but when I add it to the final word of 15a in Chambers app I get zero results!

Brendan try adding it to the first four letters and looking that up

Ahhh! I would add more h's but I'm exhausted - no kidding, I've been stuck on that one last bit since 3am!!

Coming a bit late to this, help with 1a would be welcome. I have unusual ending, two letters, only five words fit? None mean hollow.

Lumen, 1a. is hollow as a noun - 1 letter inside a word for a rod.

Some answers are entered as non-words? I assumed the misprints changed one word into another.
