Will@100 - apologies for not replying sooner but I only just noticed your reply.

You're right that my @97 relied upon the reader either knowing or guessing certain information about me but I have alluded to it in posts on the Guardian Prize blog, often in discussions with Rocky (and much to chagrin of Roof and many others I'm sure) and just hoped that might be enough to elicit a response:-)

I was, of course, being deliberately vague given that the my query involved a part of the theme.

Thankfully, both you and Muraria were able to read between the lines and give me the final nudge I needed to get over the finishing line (saving me from getting in a right 2 'n 8 😉)

Thanks, Brendan. Glad to have been of help. Of course, I've just had to check what a 2 'n 8 is but I'd guessed right!

Hi friends,

Hopefully late enough in the week to ask a question like this... We reached the full grid but must have made an error somewhere as we have one E remaining from CLEAN YET. Would someone be able to point me to the two clues with Es to be replaced please?? Happy to wait a couple of days if inappropriate at this stage (or oblique references to the answers would get me there also)

Hi Triceratops,

I think this largely falls under the "parsing of clues" heading so is okay.

In one you have to know the usual 1 letter abbr. of "current" inside "a long piece" and the other "he spelling of "the reverse or enraptured".

I struggled to get on Kea’s wavelength at the outset, so put this aside and went on with the EV and IQ.

“Having resumed consideration of the cause, the solver repels his initial finding and decerns.” What a cracker of a puzzle this is! Thank you, Kea. I was thoroughly tested but much enjoyed the experience. The final stage gave me a smile for each object and I thought the inclusion of a number of entries with a linguistic link to the theme was a nice touch.

First time posting here, so hello all!

I'm down to the third feature, however I'd appreciate some help not with that but with parsing 32a. I have an answer in there, which I assume has to be right given the crossers, but I can't fathom the wordplay.

I'm concerned that my search for feature three might be hampered by wrong letters in 32.

Welcome aboard, BlueCormorant. I hope that my earlier post (#117) was clear enough to get you over the line on 32a
