TN, 28a is a game (3 letters) followed by notes (3 letters) within two words that are "vacated". 22d is a term for 100 dollars + "at home" within a 3 letter term for the modified word in the clue. I'm still grid staring (again).
How do I take d out of layers? I don't understand the problem here, if I wanted hints I would ask on the other column, I want answers so I ask here. Am I wrong?
Ploughty, I meant layers was an alternative definition for strata. You want a four letter word for strata/layers where you find oysters or for places where you will find flowers (and I don't mean rivers)
So the column with 6d,. Is that the column that has 11 items around it? How does that' work? Do the items cross the column? Do they go in straight lines? Diagonal?
