4 - Can anyone help with this parsing - I have the first name of an actual "singer" (having spent ages trying to shoehorn in 'canon'!)

I can see how the ON is reversed/rising but not the rest.

“Not allowed” without the T all reversed

Ahh! I'd discounted that because the 2 words together as a phrase don't make sense, grammatically. I completely overlooked them as two separate parts of the wordplay - rookie error😡

Many thanks Candledave:-)

I can’t see how 7 works. The definition is mouths.

Hi Jeg,

The 'felt lid' is a 6 letter hat with the first 3 letters, equating to 'not having eaten', removed

I still don't have a singer for 4. Is it obscure? So far I have a four-letter variant spelling of "not allowed" - t, but I'm not sure which "on" I need.

I’m having real trouble gaining a foothold in this one. Can anyone let me know which direction 25 goes?
Thanks

Hi MPRS,

No, it's the first name of one of the most famous singers in the world. I think your doing what I initially did and trying to make something out of a single word for 'not allowed'. Instead you to split it in to "not" (just reverse this) and 3 letter "allowed" minus T(ime), also reversed.
