Hi everyone. I did this quite quickly, until I hit 13 & 7 . I have 13 now from the forum hints , but confused by the comments on 7 as several of the posts don't reference the clue or post #, so not sure which are related to 7

I also realised I had 22 wrong, but for anyone who is afflicted by this ailment I strongly recommend the fodmap diet, it worked wonders for me

Thanks everyone for 13d hints. When I got it I thought ‘oh of course!’ To those who are thinking Nan, think pussy cat instead and what you need for that kind of Persian when you go on holiday.

Today I actually got them all (except for the puss) before I looked at the forum. Yay!

7 is rather general-knowledgy. It refers to a D H Lawrence novel. Where are you supposed to able to find a pot of gold?

Not a response to VinnyGrey but just to post at the end of the day. Struggled with this week's. So kept going away to do chores and returning to it. A number of the forum posts helped so thanks to all. I did find some of the clues as weak as others have suggested. I liked 8d. The 11d homophone made me smile. But my COD, unusually for me, is the primarily of 14d because for once the sentence made sense.

Thanks ChrisE for the hint. In the end I didn't need it as I went for a walk with a friend this afternoon and she guessed it. She was chuffed as she doesn't do crosswords :)

Further to earlier comments on here I do sometimes wonder if 'Everyman' refers to the fact that all and sundry are contributing clues.

Unlike others I thought 13d was a great clue and possibly my COD but it did take me ages before the P D'd.

I just can't parse 4d. I'm missing something obvious I'm sure.

4d - Single letter "small" + 7 letter "limb" (think of a dolphin) - it's F(oot) - definition is "mule" (a type of ladies shoe)
