Loudly is a homophone indicator so sounds like the word with an I but you are correct in putting a Y for the answer

Still not happy about "cuisine" in 13d - it doesn't seem to be the right word. Ours don't get "cuisine"!

Also the definition for 16a is odd.

Did anyone else try BIKINI for the second word in 24a? Presumably intended misdirection.

16a - I puzzled for ages over this definition before a PDM when I realised it was like 'drain(ing)' or ??? ???? one savings, for example.

Did nobody else enjoy 11d? That was my COD just for the laugh!

You would have to be a lazy/careless speaker for 11 to be a homophone.
