Bunty - no O for 15a because it's the letters the word play does not give, not superfluous ones. And I think the A is given in the wordplay for 41d so no letter there.

Someone asked why 41d should be one of a group. That's because I think the wordplay doesn't give an I and it's those that give the 16 words. I think Pierre is one of a group?
