winnie - why not just write the answers out for clasm to copy.

And Acton is a male member of the Bronte family. Really? Where did you get that bit of information from?

Because they want to say they are only giving clues. The fact that the clues they are giving might as well be the answers doesn't seem to register.

Re post 351.....
This is incorrect information.
"Acton Bell" is the pseudonym of Anne Bronte; Charlotte was known as "Currer Bell" and Emily as "Ellis"Bell"
Their only brother was Branwell Bronte.

Hello Winnie ,
Thank you for your help, I am almost there. I am sorry that my post caused adverse comments to be made about your reply. I have been entering my responses to the Neville Mizzen Quizzes for almost twenty years. each of which has been accompanied by a generous donation to the Nominated Charity. I have enjoyed working out my responses, but asked for help when I was unable to come up with a reasonable answer. To date I have managed to achieve only one completely correct answer sheet (it didn't win a prize) and about fifteen near misses. In the unlikely event of being awarded prize, I would add the value of that award to my Charity Donation for the Nominated Charity of the next half yearly Quiz.
Regards Chasm

Clasm, glad you've almost finished. Did you check the previous entries for the numbers you listed? Some questions have involved quite a few extra 'hints'!

Hello Malone,
Yes I did check all the previous hints for the six Questions and had failed anything which enable my ancient brain to come up with a reasonable answer.
The problem was that my brain was not sufficiently astute.
