Please can anyone give a hint...Ive got what I thought was the answer for 23(put down a box of small letters which is also 5.4.)

Who went up the hill with Jill and didn't cost much?

hI Tele4graph when you gave the following response to my queries was the reply referring to one or all of them i.e.'simple song' 'thatcher' '50' 'shakespeare'. I'm a bit confused - could you explain. Thanks

71. Thatcher altho' think of another word for worker + word for boasts, following instructions in clue. Then use Chambers to explain last bit of question.

I have at last completed this quiz although whether they are all right is debateable !

I may be thick,but I haven't seen reference to the nasty badman nor the baggy, dishevelled clues. Are the answers that obvious?
