Good morning, Rusty!
I read that Victoria considers the training part the best bit! so she will enjoy all the hard work that she has to put in. Let us hope that she does well when she has to compete, even if it is just a question of completing the course.
See, I'm getting all "genned" up!
I think we, too, are due rain off and on over the next couple of days, although right now it is a beautiful morning here!
I haven't been out yet though, I'm sticking to my plan of going later for a few days.
But I do feel very much better today!

Hello, Elle!
Queen Vic is a grafter all right!
I have a teeny wager on her to win, but that is cloud cuckoo land stuff.
I would love to see her complete the course and come home safe.
She has a good horse in Pacha du Polder. Let us hope they both get to Cheltenham OK.
Well, back to the furniture moving!

Hi, Rusty!
Why are you trying to move the heavy furniture by yourself? You have two sons living nearby - not to mention your grandsons - could you not ask them to help you?
I am sure that they would all be most happy to do so - even if it meant your waiting until evening when they return home from work.
The trouble with moving heavy stuff on your own is that you may damage muscles etc......even if you are using gliders, you still have to lift the items onto them.
Sorry, lecture over!
Now, the sun is shining, I'm feeling (relatively) enthusiastic, so am going to walk the dog!

Hello, Elle,
Just one item to go!
A wardrobe (that is a strange word?).
My son and grandson will help me with that in evening.
The gliders are a good help, except when turning corners.
That is the second lecture today.
One of the ASDA ladies told me off for going about in a short sleeved shirt! It is very mild though.
When I get round to having a look at the Times, I shall try you with a quiz question or two.
My target is 4 out of 15.
That is good for me!

Elle, I got 3 correct from 15.
Quite good for me.

Good afternoon, Rusty!
We had a pleasant walk - I must definitely be feeling better, as we walked twice the distance we did yesterday!
Yes, and you deserved a lecture from the ASDA lady , going about in a short-sleeved shirt in this weather! Good for her!
I know you Northerners like to play it tough, but there is a limit!
Those Quiz questions are certainly difficult.........I've done three........
The synthetic superheavy element is Livermorium; the atmospheric phenomenon is fog; and I think the vehicle is a sulky? ( my confidence is low on this one?)
No idea about the first two questions?
Kent had a mention in the Times QC today!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, sulky it is!
I think the actress is Jo Lumley.
No, the shirt was fine.
It is mild here. Really.
It was young Iona who told me off, in a very nice way.
They are all very friendly!

Victoria was last in a point-to-point yesterday.
What was Kent doing in your crossword?
It is a lovely day up here.
Just like Spring!

Hi, Rusty!
It is mild here, but no way would I liken it to Spring! and what began as a bright sunny day degenerated into a dull and cloudy one!
But no matter.........I enjoyed being out!
Freedom!!
And hopefully it is onwards and upwards from now on, as I have a potentially busy week ahead!
Only Friday is still a free day!
Kent didn't play much of a part in the crossword, it was just mentioned......
