Hi again everyone,

Jazzy and Rusty,

I just typed Tour of Spain (cycling) on google and found a site which gives live coverage, stage previews etc... just as they did on Le Tour - So, you could watch some on computer if you so wished. I might watch some.

Weather today glorious and very hot.

Isn't anyone going to be watching the Athletics World Championships? on all week from Saturday on BBC 1 and BBC 2?

I'm glad no-one needed help with the clue from today's Times.

Rusty, isn't it rather immodest to say that you have a lot to be modest about?!

Tom Lehrer claimed to be "justifiably modest" about his military career.

re Sinatra or Bing , I liked them both for different reasons, and to watch them together performing "Well did you evah" was a joy. They even took the mickey out of each other's style of singing.

I love "High Society" Jg! I watch all the reruns!

The only two crooners that I can think of that I did not like, were Sinatra, and Matt Monro.
They just irked me!
And one balladeer, who I have discovered is taking part in Strictly Come Dancing next time!

Please don't even mention his name rusty.....it will put me off my dinner :(

Surely you couldn't fail to like "High Society", "Rusty?
Is it Sinatra the man that you don't like, or his singing?
I can understand the former but I think he is a great singer- I especially like his style in his later years.
But you cannot beat Bing! A great crooner right until the end !
