Hi, Pigale!
I couldn't believe how many spam messages there were when I looked in early this morning!!
Over 100 pages, that means there were over 2000 threads!!
No wonder Norah was concerned that someone might have inadvertently become banned!

Hello, Elle,
Got my haddock! I went to the baker, too.
Got apple squares!
I was looking in Curry's for a new wireless.
I have an old one, and there are radio stations on my Sky TV, but not local ones.

This link is about William Chambers.
I do not think he would be too chuffed about his Dictionary being published with words missing!
Anyway, a quick bite to eat and then I am over the river to Fife. Busy, busy, busy!

Hi rusty
Did you see my link a little earlier to the Monty Python spam sketch? Worth a look!

If Lin is going out of Edinburgh, Falkirk Wheel is also worth looking at or even a visit to Stirling Castle will
occupy all day. Great value

Hello Elle,

I fail to see what the people who issue those spam are hoping to achieve other than becoming a pest ! It's no more than verbal vandalism -

Sorry about your weather; did you get drenched when walking the dogs ? That's one thing about pups (I always call dogs 'pups' even when they are adults - a gentle nickname) most of them do not mind getting wet; in fact for a lab or a retriever, it's hopeless - mine just made a dive in the first puddle and shook right next to me, looking very pleased with themselves. Luckily, they are self-cleansing dogs !

Hi, Rusty!
I had a most enjoyable lunch! It was nice to catch up on everyone's news!
Thank you for the link on William Chambers - no, he is probably 'turning in his grave ' over the omission of those 500 words! and still, there is silence on that subject....? I doubt I will ever hear more.....
Well done on the successful purchase of a satisfactory piece of haddock.... when are you going to eat it? How do you cook it?
Any luck in purchasing a new radio? Currys is a good shop- we have one quite local to us.
You said you were going to Fife? Now you know me and Geography.... where is Fife? is that near to Dundee?

Hello, Elle!
I hope you and the ladies had a nice lunch!
I fried my fine haddock and had it for my tea.
It was tasty!
Oh, you have a Curry's too? Yes, it has several plus points. Do you have a wireless?
Fife is a Scottish county, to the South of me, across the River Tay.
I have to cross the Road Bridge (not McGonagall's) to get there. It used to be a toll bridge but it is free to cross now.
My destination was a small village in Fife.
That is where I buy my troosers.
It seems to be warm today. I am on my second shirt!

Hi, Rusty!
Your weather must be very different from ours. It's been dull here for most of the day with outbreaks of light rain.
We've just had that odd phenomenon of its raining in one place and not in another nearby!
I'd just come in from the back garden, where it was completely dry, to meet up with my husband coming in through the front door, somewhat wet from the rain outside in the street! People were walking past holding up their umbrellas! I couldn't believe my eyes - I rushed back and looked out over the garden - still dry! How about that then?
Did you buy a new radio? Mine is a Phillips - it's a combined radio and CD player. I'm very pleased with it. It's not new though - I've had it quite a while.
Fife is across the Road Bridge then , not the Tay Bridge of William McGonagall fame?
So you went there to buy new trousers?
Lin says to tell you 'thank you' for the Edinburgh sight- seeing suggestions! She is very much looking forward to her trip.
