Good morning, Rusty!
A drizzly start to the day here...….
I hope it is better where you are?
I am just going out now, to meet my friend.
We are having lunch together, and catching up on all the family news.
I shall be home again about teatime, so talk to you then, hopefully.
Enjoy your day......

Good morning, Elle!
It is dull, dry, and breezy, here!
There is a chill in the air.
Has summer gone?
Hope you enjoy your lunch out!

Hi, Rusty!
What a beautiful day it is now!
Blue sky and bright sunshine...and warming up again nicely.
I think Summer is still with us.......
Yes, thank you , I had a very enjoyable lunch.
And we had a good chat ...and set the world to rights!
I hope you, also, have had a nice day?
What have you been up to?

Hello, Elle!
Fine day here now!
I have had a canny day.
Gave a hand to a neighbour tidying up his garden.
He works offshore and just got home last night.
And he passed on the gossip from the rigs!
And we had coffee and shortie!
A good day!

Good evening, Rusty!
It sounds as though you have a had a pleasant day, catching up with your neighbour, and helping him sort out his garden.
I am sure he was grateful for the help.
The recent persistent rain has been very beneficial for our garden...…green
grass!
And my fuchsias are lovely!
Has your son been to visit?
Or has he gone fishing?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, I like my neighbour and it's good to see him home from the rig.
Wasn't really work, just two pals having a yarn while doing a wee bit.
My son has gone home.
Had a good time with him!
I was telling him about my friend in Norn Iron.
She is doing quite a bit of running and tonight the coach has them doing "Indian Runs", which is new to me.
Have to find out what on earth she is up to!

Hi, Rusty!
Ah, now I know what Indian runs are!
But can I explain it clearly?
Everyone runs round the track (or playing field) in single file...... and the last in line then runs to the front.....then when he/she gets there, the one now at the back follows suit and sprints to the front of the line, and this is continually repeated .........
Your friend will certainly be fit, by the time she has done several laps of sprinting round a playing field!
Good for her!
One of our dog walking contingent has begin taking part in the Park Runs on Saturdays......
I feel this is to be admired....but not emulated!
I shall stick to walking briskly!

Hello, Elle!
I did not know that!
Thank you for the info!
She texted not long ago to say she is quanked!
Tonight was speed training!
Yes, she is doing very well and I hope she sticks at it!
I think it was "From Couch to 5k" it started as, but she runs further than that now.
An example to us all!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I think that the "From Couch to 5K" exercise schedule is excellent for those who are unused to exercising and want to make a start.
Your friend is doing really well......
My younger daughter has progressed from doing 5K to 10K, and is planning on running a Half-Marathon in October.
Walking very briskly, and for a longish distance daily, is also very beneficial health wise.
Having a dog also helps here.....you don't feel quite such an idiot striding out if you have a dog in attendance!
I read somewhere that the way to keep fit and slim was to copy what your dog does........run when, and where he/ she does .......follow the dog everywhere.
Whoever wrote that hasn't met my dog....she never walks...she always runs.....
She must cover three miles to one of mine........I should be exhausted if I ran everywhere after her!
But she does keep me (relatively) fit!

Good morning, Elle!
A fine day here, but a chill in the air, still!
"From Couch to 5K" seems to be an excellent scheme, by the sound of it.
I had not heard of it until my pal mentioned it some time ago, and she (and some of her buddies) have done some proper runs now.
I don't fancy the "Indian Runs"!
I think brisk walking is an excellent way to keep fit and healthy.
Good luck to your daughter in her run!
I have had a look at the puzzle online (no paper, yet!) and I think it will not be plain sailing!
Good!
