Hello, Elle!
Yes, we had a good time!
I did not ask to see photos.
They sent me some when they were at America.
Yes, we have a bit of a turnover of staff at Pine Cone.
One of the girls has left school and is going to London to study music.
Others are heading to different Unis.
We'll miss them!
You will be looking forward to your new shower when the lads have finished it!

Good evening, Rusty!
At least we can shut the door on the scene of the crime.......that is a blessing!
I am debating now whether to have the bedroom decorated, as well as the bathroom......
Kill two birds with one stone....?
We are going out for lunch with some of the family tomorrow.
Our younger daughter and her husband had their ninth Wedding Anniversary early in the week.
We are taking them out to celebrate.
We are all looking forward to it!

Good evening, Elle!
Lovely weather here!
Yes, get the bedroom done, too.
Have you a decorator?
I hope you all have a great outing tomorrow!
I liked this old lad dancing.
BGT should get him and his granddaughters on instead of the old pensioner!!

Hi, Rusty!
That was a lovely clip!
It has quite made my evening!
I hope I have his energy if I ever make it to that age.
And the little girls were so sweet!
Well, we have always done our own internal decorating ......wallpapering and painting.....up until now.
But yes, our 'builder friends' both build, and decorate, inside and out....they do most things, including installing kitchens, but not plumbing......
Hence our having someone else to sort out the new shower.
We shall certainly ask them to do the guest bathroom.........and maybe the bedroom?
But if I start "renovating", I shall not know where to stop....I may want to have our own bedroom done , too, as well as the guest room!
I am getting the "spring-cleaning" bug in what is very nearly Autumn!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, 90 years old!
He was great! And the young ones were dead cute!
Go for it, Elle, get the lot decorated!
I thought the chill in the air had gone today, so hopefully summer is still here!
You have athletics on BBC tomorrow, but you'll be out?
Now you mentioned BGT, I have been thinking about who may be on.
This is Shin Lim, who won America's GT, and I think he won the Champions series, too.
He is the best magician with cards I have seen.
Howie and Terry are helping him.
Terry Crews took over from Tyra Banks in presenting the show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E598_IU0lxs

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, it is the British Grand Prix, from Birmingham, tomorrow.
And yes, unfortunately, I shall be out...... but BBC One is covering it in a three hour programme, so I have already set the recorder, so that I can watch it later on.
I am all organised!
I have no idea how much decorating will cost, Rusty?
London prices for anything are usually extortionate.
We are hoping this time to have the "professionals" in, as we do not feel up to more DIY at present (we've already done the dining room, ourselves, recently) but it will all depend on the cost.....
Re BGT, I do not know Shin Lim......nor the other names that you mention......
I think it should all make a good show, though.
I need a coffee,,,,,

Good morning, Elle!
It's a bit dreich here, so far.
Your builder friends will know painters and deckies.
I'm sure they would offer good advice if asked.
Sorry about Shin Lim and the rest.
I watch America's Got Talent and became familiar with the panel and acts that perform on it.
Did you tackle the puzzle yesterday?
I did, and found it to be a good one.
Although, up to now, I can not parse 9a.
I will look at it again, later, but so far no "aha moment"!

It is cold here, rusty; I am wearing a sweater.

And am about to make scones with lemonade. I kid you not. They are scrumptious, far better than the traditional ones. Just flour, cream and lemonade

Good morning, Rusty!
It is a bit dreich here, too.....
I am just back from my walk.....the cooler air gives both dog and me more energy!
Ah now, I mustn't have explained properly abut the "builders"....they do constructional work/ roof repairs/ install kitchens/ and are also painters and decorators.
It is a family firm, started by their great (or it might be great-great) grandfather ......and comprises at present the three brothers, who each have a son also working with them.
They are very friendly, trustworthy, reliable, and do a great job!
Yes, I did do yesterday's crossword.
I finished it, barring two parses for 3d and 7d. (I'd forgotten about those!)
But there wasn't a 9d? Did you mean 9a?
I have "a la carte" = so dine, perhaps (def)
art - are you
a lace - a tie
Does that sound ok?

Good morning, Rosalind!
I had the heating on earlier!
And have my lightweight cardi on now!
I like the sound of the scones!
I did not know you can include lemonade in the mix!
I think I would be partial to one or two!
