Watching the Masters, it has just occurred to me how many of the top golfers I don't like very much.....Woods (of course), McIlroy, Rahm, Casey, Poulter, Mickelson, Garcia, and more that aren't springing to mind.

Of course, there are lots that I like too - Spieth, Fowler, Thomas, Rose, Fleetwood, Stenson, Fitzpatrick, and many more!

Did I ever mention that Nick Dougherty was captain of an Under 12 rugby side that I coached? I never actually taught him, but he was a very nice young lad.

Chris, I agree with your dislikes with the exception of Poulter.
He makes me smile!
I like a lot of golfers, but Rickie is my favourite.
Not impressed by Sky's coverage.
Not enough action.
Do we really need to watch Butch Harmon and Paul McGinley putting on a carpet when there is action at Amen Corner!

I was informed that lots of it was on the "Red Button", but it didn't work for me today!
I agree that Poulter is a real character, but would I like to go to the pub with him?....

P.S.
rusty - have you ever seen the golf-related movie "Tin Cup"? I think that you might quite enjoy it!

...also the Par 3 had three of the greatest gentlemen in sport playing together - Nicklaus, Player and Watson. Nicklaus's concession of Jacklin's putt in the Ryder Cup is still one of my favourite mometns in sport.

Chris, not seen the film.
I do not like Gary Player!
Far too full of himself, for me.
Jack and Tom, I do like, though Arnie was my great hero.

Player was very important in the development of international golf in the US - though, I agree, he seems to know that!

Hi, Rusty!
I have only just surfaced......
I spent most of the evening after dinner, playing board games with the boys.
They brought several games with them that I did not know .......and so, of course, I had to be taught how to play!
Exhausting.....but good fun!
And since the grandsons went to bed, my daughter and I have been catching up first hand with all the latest news!
She has just gone, yawning, to bed!
I hope you had an enjoyable time with your son?
Were you watching the golf together?

Good morning, Elle!
Seems a fine day outside!
You seem to be having a good time with your family.
Yes, my son visited.
The golf coverage is not great, though.
Too much talking in the studio, for me.
I hope the BBC coverage on Sat and Sun is better.

A Very Good morning to you, Rusty!
A glorious day again here - cold, but blue sky and very sunny.
I am just back from my walk.
This morning will no doubt be spent in playing games with the boys.....I shall be an expert by the time they go home!
And then we are meeting up with our younger daughter and family for lunch at the Toby Carvery.
There will be nine of us...but we have a table booked for 1 pm.
I am looking forward to it!
A pity that the golf was not given satisfactory coverage ....is it on again today?
