Hello, Cerasus!
Thank you kindly for posting the above link.
The cafe is closed today.
I may visit it tomorrow, granddaughter permitting!

Good morning, Rusty!
Now.... we shall see whether or not I can manage to "post" any messages this morning.......!
I have been having considerable trouble of late, especially yesterday when it proved impossible all the day to be accepted by Captcha.......
I have not been able to get beyond the reCaptcha "circle".......this continually rotates, but never moves on to "tick" me through!!
There are no shopfronts/ telegraph wires/ cars/bridges etc to count......but simply a never ending circle rotation.
All is well here......the boys are enjoying their holiday with us!
They go home tomorrow......it has passed very quickly.
I have read the Courier's report on the fire at the Pine Cone.... what a to-do!
I hope there is not too much residual damage?
Are you going out there, with your granddaughter today?

Good morning, Elle!
Have you told Norah about your problem?
Is it on your desktop machine it is happening?
On my Chromebook I have no pictures to find on reCaptcha.
I tick "I'm not a robot" box, then "add post", and my post is sent without looking for palm trees etc.
I do have to find shopfronts etc on my tablet, though.
Your "never ending circle rotation", to me, sounds as if it is not making a connection?
I suppose you've switched it off and on again?
No Pine Cone today.
La Bamba texted earlier and tomorrow suits both of us best.
I think it is one, or more, of the wood sheds, that has burned, rather than the cafe.
The owners have posted on social media (so I'm told!) that they are opening today and hope to see us all!
Awful fire at Notre Dame, too!

Hi, Rusty!
No, I didn't tell Norah.... I was going to do so, if it happened again today.
It has done this off and on for a few days now, though ......
But, yesterday, I left the circle "turning".... came back an hour later..... and it was still happily spinning around!
I had to give up in the end.
Yes, on the desk top -- it is the only appliance that I have.
And yes, I switched off the monitor, reset the Router, etcetera....
But I do not think the fault lies with my computer?
I think the problem is to do with reCaptcha.
But it seems to be working for now, anyway!
I meant to ask you what you thought of BGT this week?
Anything of interest?

Hello, Elle!
I looked online, and this has happened often.
Selected solutions say to "clear your cookies" etc, but I do not see why you should have to do this.
Let's hope it is OK today, if not tell Norah or Ash, I'd suggest?
I did not like any of the acts on BGT very much.
There were actually two local lads on the show, but their act was not on the transmitted show.
It's on YouTube, though.
The panel did not like them, and they got four buzzers!

Hi, Rusty!
I clean my computer every week with Piriform (free) Cleaner, which clears away all the Internet Browsing, acquired cookies etc.......so I should not really have a problem, do you think?
But yes, any repeat difficulty in "posting", and I will email Norah!
I did not like to bother her, as no one else seemed to be having any difficulty...and Norah has a lot on her plate.
I didn't miss anything then, on BGT?
I didn't watch, or record, it, on Saturday, as I have no time whilst the boys are here.
I think I need new Duracell batteries (you know. like they put in the rabbits in the TV advert!) to keep up with the two of them!

Hello, Elle!
The Piriform CCleaner has a good reputation so your desktop should be fine.
I use Norton just now. Avast is very good too.
I think the problem you had will be at Ash's end of things?
No, it was a lack lustre episode of BGT, I thought.
The young ones will tire you out!
Just had a text from my son.
He is working with a fireman today, who told him the fire at Pine Cone is still burning!
It's wood pellets burning in one of the sheds.
Seems odd they can't extinguish them!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
You are right about my grandsons wearing me out.........but I think sometimes the boot is on the other foot ?
For instance, yesterday they didn't get up for breakfast till nearly 9.30 am!
It is down to all the fresh air and exercise that they are getting, whilst staying with us.......!
It sounds worrying that the fire at the Pine Cone is still smouldering?
Perhaps as well that you are waiting until tomorrow before you and Miss La Bamba go there.
There may be lingering smoke which cannot be good for you?
Right, I am told we are off to a park....I wonder which one it will be today?
We shall let the children choose …….

Good evening, Elle!
I think you will miss the young ones when they go home!
Miss L-B is taking me food shopping before the Pine Cone.
I hope the cafe is open and fairly normal.
I pronounce "have" and "halve" the same.
Do you?
Chambers seem to have different pronunciations though.

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, you are right...I shall definitely miss the boys when they go home tomorrow.
But BB wants to come for a sleepover.....!
I pronounce "have" as "hav" with a short "a" (like "hat")..... and "halve " as "hahv" with a long "a".
How did this crop up?
I am sitting here trying to make the two words sound the same.......
I cannot do it?
Now I have a query about 6d in the crossword.... I am assuming that "flic" is a word for a French policeman?
Why? I did not know this?
And I cannot do 17a: Praising European Union planning in detail? (10)
?U?O?I?T?C
EU for European Union...but how about the rest, please?
