Hi, Rusty!
It is good that the nurse thinks the slightly high liver result is nothing to worry about.......and hopefully the transaminase will be within normal limits when repeated.
I still do not understand 7d.....!
Thank you for "cellarman" - I did not even know that there was such a term!
But I can see the parsing now that you have explained it to me.
"Dehisce" is a new word to me......
According to online Collins it means
"(of fruits, anthers, etc) to burst open spontaneously, releasing seeds, pollen, etc"
You did well to get it just through the parsing!
Is your son visiting you as usual this evening?

Hello, Malone!
Just had a look on Times website but 13d is still the same?
What is the change?
In 11 the "large" was superfluous.

Thanks, Rusty, glad you saw the post about the Times clues. The changes were mentioned on the timesforthetimes website. I scribbled down the new clue to 13, but my writing was very scrappy and I could hardly read it! I'll do it properly in a few minutes...

Hello, Elle!
Yes, today's nurse is very experienced so I heed what she says.
"You're the boss!" I told her, when she suggested repeating the test!
I can't make complete sense of 7d, too.
But Malone says there have been changes made to the puzzle on the website, so hopefully that one has had attention, too.
A cellerman used to be employed in some pubs to look after the beer etc in the cellar.
Real ale is "alive" and has to be looked after properly before it is put on at the pump.
No, my son will come down tomorrow.
They are going out for tea tonight, to celebrate my daughter-in-law's new job.
I have been watching the racing at Aintree.
Had a wee bet on Kemboy, trained by Willie Mullins and ridden by Ruby Walsh.
He won at a short price.
Did I tell you "Willie walks on water?"
Anyway, seeing that I won, I decided to support Rachael Blackmore in the last race there.
She was aboard Moon Over Germany and rode a super race to win, so I am very pleased with myself, and Willie and Rachael!

Rusty, on the timesforthetimes website, it says the clue is...

Large thing laid across cape, somehow goes right around it.

Hello, Malone!
Thank you kindly for taking the time and trouble to post that!
I see it. An anagram around C.
Well done!

Update, Elle!
I have cracked 7d!
One to brood is "hen".
I looked up "IR" in Chambers but that did not help.
So I looked up "RI" and found the Latin "Rex et Imperator", meaning "King and Emperor"!
I think I shall have a slice of apple pie to celebrate!

Hi, Rusty!
Congratulations to your daughter-in-law on her new job!
Is it she who is a nurse?
Or is that your other daughter-in-law?
I get confused........
I hope they enjoy their celebratory meal out.
And you will see your son tomorrow instead.
Well done on finding the Latin context in 7d!
(You can join me in tackling "O Tempora!" on Saturdays. I shall certainly need help!)
It is good to have 7d finally solved.
Wow, you did well on your betting in the racing!
Rachael is doing very well , isn't she?
Someone to watch in the future.......
I had best organise dinner.
Shepherd's pie tonight.
