Update, Elle!
I have had another look at Duchess Kate's outfit and I was wrong!
It is Black Watch tartan she is wearing.
The Black Watch recruited from this area, so a nice touch from the Duchess!

Hi, Rusty!
I had thought that the V & A was already officially opened!
Yes, Prince William and Kate live in Kensington Palace, which is in Kensington Gardens, London W8.
Now, an interesting titbit for you......
Queen Anne was pregnant 17 times when she lived at Kensington Palace, but not one of her children made it to adulthood!
Latest in the Paper Cavalier saga....P.C. are now asking this morning for the postal receipt - which Amazon has in its possession , and has already told the company to refund all our money - and then Paper Cavalier "will look further into the matter"!
So......Amazon and I have now decided that enough is enough, and Amazon is taking out a claim against them!
But what a business?
So we shall get our money back one way or another.......but "when" is anyone's guess.......
The Amazon staff have been brilliant, though , throughout !

Hello, Elle!
The V&A opened last summer.
Maybe the Duchess could not make the opening?
Was her youngest born about that time?
Anyway, I am glad she opened it.
Poor Queen Anne!
We have a Queen Anne pub in town, but I have no idea why it is called that.
What I can't fathom is why Amazon allow these chancers at Paper Cavalier to use the Amazon site to conduct their "business"?
It could put potential customers off, if they knew the reputation of these people.
I suggest you suggest to your husband to stick to World of Books and other more reputable book shops!
Yes Amazon are very good to deal with, and as I am a very, very, very minor shareholder in the company, I shall take your compliment personally.
Thank you!

For what it's worth Paper Cavalier appear to have a London office with email and telephone details on their website.

Much better than serving in a smoky old cafe! I don't think anyone gets double time on Sundays now.
I hope it will be possible for you to write a stinking review of Paper Cavalier, elle, once they've paid up. And I doubt amazon will continue to let them trade under their banner.
I believe one of Queen Anne's sons got to 11. I wonder why they all died?

Hi, Rusty!
Hi, Rusty!
Hey! it's snowing!
I hope it doesn't stick!
What's it doing up your way?
I suppose it is not uncommon for "official" openings to take place, some time after the building has already been in general use.......
And the local residents would be thrilled to have Kate there to open the V & A.
I know the Black Watch tartan!
What do you mean , you are a minor shareholder in Amazon?!

Yes, Kenyatta, Paper Cavalier has an office in a Biscuit Factory in Southwark, near Bermondsey station.
I did consider going there, armed with a large sledge hammer, but decided it was best to leave it to Amazon!

Ros, if I were commit my thoughts and opinions about Paper Cavalier to paper...I might well be arrested!

Hello, Elle!
Just hard frost here, no snow.
A lot us here think of Duchess Kate as a local girl anyway.
She attended the Uni across the river at St Andrews for several years, and made quite a few trips to our town.
So, we have a wee claim on her!
I have some money invested in Amazon shares, through an investment trust fund.
So, you buy plenty books on Amazon!

I buy my books through www.smile.amazon.co.uk. A small percentage then goes to antibiotic research and, believe me, we need that. I don't mind if it's only half of one per cent, it's a help

Hi, Rusty!
The snow has gone , now!
No evidence at all remaining..... let us hope that is its only appearance.
I did not know that you have money invested in Amazon.... yes, I am well impressed by their dealings with this matter.
Each individual to whom I have spoken (three of them, now!) has been very friendly, and effectively helpful!
Amazon are going to take out a claim against Paper Cavalier, and they themselves will give us our money back through the Amazon A to Z Guarantee, that you had previously mentioned.
Seemingly, refund requests usually take 1-2 weeks to be investigated.
It is good to know that one's money is always safe!
