Hi, Rusty!
I used to like "Telford's Change" and "Joint Account", too, both with Hannah Gordon.
I think she starred in the former with Peter Barkworth, and the latter with Peter Egan?
Both were excellent programmes.
Oh dear! I am wallowing in nostalgia!
Yes, I think I am a privileged Grandma......
I get on very well with my grandsons!
BB. at six, has great faith in my propensity to solve problems and sort things out!
I try to live up to my reputation!!
Your son will miss his fishing......

Hello, Ros!
Yes, a good bargain in sprouts!
They are going with my daughter's friend and her family to Birmingham Legoland Discovery Centre next weekend....staying all together in Birmingham in an apartment for two nights.

Hello, Elle!
I remember Hannah Gordon.
I think she may have been on our local Rep?
I do not know the programmes though.
The young ones are great, I've always thought, though nowadays they can run rings around me!
No, my son won't miss the fishing.
Winter fishing is not the most pleasant!
He will tie flies during the Winter and the Tay opens again in mid January.
For many years my favourite spot for a holiday in Scotland was around Poolewe in Wester Ross. (The wilds!)
Came across this wee video of a ceilidh in the village hall!
Great fun!

Hope it works!

Rosalind

I have never seen the tide in either, I think it only occurs a few times a year. They are turning parts of the marsh into breeding grounds for certain wildlife. The shrimps were great years ago, I believe, but I dont think there is seafood on sale now. I just have ice cream and a cream tea in the Red Lion!

On a clear day, you get lovely views of the Flintshire coast across the Dee

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, thank you, the ceilidh video clip worked well.
It was reminiscent of the socials held at our church (a large Methodist mission) when I lived in Bolton.
Great occasions, when everyone got together and danced or played games.......all ages mixing well.
"Ceilidh" is also a girl's name, too, isn't it?
I once knew someone of that name.
You sometimes help your son with tying flies , don't you?

Ros, this is where they are going......

Hello, Elle!
The ceilidhs are good fun!
I loved the energy of the little girls getting stuck in.
There was at least one in bare feet!
I do not know of Ceilidh as a name, but it may be.
Eilidh certainly is.
There may be a "Kayley", I think, but not sure.
I don't help my son with flies any more.
His is a much higher standard, and he sells them, too.
He was highly impressed by Megan Boyd, and the simplicity and craft in her fly-tying.

A Very Good morning to you, Rusty!
Fell dreich here!
It was great, though, getting up in the light.
I hate the dark mornings.
We are going out in the early afternoon today, so I have a leisurely morning in which to do my crosswords!
How about you?
Any plans for the day?

Good morning, Elle!
Looks a fine day out there, but a touch of frost on the cars.
I have not been out though.
My day of rest!
I have no plans today.
Staying home.
Just texted "Good luck" to Miss L-B who starts her new job today.
So, I shall be thinking of her all day!

I hope Miss L-B's first day goes well...
What is she doing?
Is the job connected in any way with her Uni course?
