Rusty, you and I have both filled Elle in on 'quine' - she'll need to drop the word into conversation to make full use of it!

Hello, Malone!
Yes, Elle has plenty opportunities to use her "new words" when she is at the park doggie walking and chin wagging with her neighbours !

Hello again, Malone.
I have never seen so much spam!
There's about 6 pages of the stuff...and counting!

Rusty, an inundation, an infestation, a plague... all of these! I've had enough spam so went off to have some toast instead, along with today's Times crossword.

Good morning, Rusty!
It is a glorious morning here, too.
It is good to see the sunshine!
Sainsburys has a Foodbank, too.
Customers are invited to donate food for the needy, as they leave the store.
The Cats' Protection also has a similar scheme in the supermarket.
Good ideas both.
I owe my ill-fated Chambers an apology....I did not look properly!
"Quine " is indeed in there.......although it simply says "See quean".
You say there were six pages of "Spam"?
My goodness!
Poor Norah...as though she doesn't have enough to do!
What are you up to today?

Hello, Malone!
Yes, I have the original 13th edition of Chambers; the one with the five hundred words missing!
I was initially led to believe that this would eventually be replaced.
But that didn't happen...all that transpired was an online list of the "missing" words to be printed out, and added to the back of the dictionary!

Good morning, Elle!
Great day here!
Your Sainsbury has the same system as ASDA about food donations.
Yes, I agree, very good ideas!
Now "quine"!
I remember many years ago at Hogmanay time, there was an Aberdeenshire schoolteacher who did a comic song on television.
It was "I'm the quine that did the strip in Inverurie."
Think it may have been June Imray, but not certain.
It was yonks ago!
No firm plans today.
Taking it canny!

Hi, Rusty!
I've looked it up and yes, you are quite correct in saying it was June Imray who sang "I'm the quine that did the strip in Inverurie."
You have a good memory!
But I have been unable to find that particular song clip on YouTube?
However, I did find this one by June Imray
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLnZzrTWkMg
and also this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEdiEW1REcA
It is annoying that the other one seems unavailable!
My morning has gone in dealings with the Council.......I think I shall be blacklisted soon!
I promised the park coterie to contact the Council about this morning's park rubbish.......and another friend is sending in his photographs of the rubbish sites!
I doubt that much notice will betaken ...but one has to take a stand!
What is that quotation by Edmund Burke............
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing".

Hello, Pigale!
How are you?
Is this weather hot enough for you?
I think you have probably save me several pages of "hunting" with your timely "bump"!
