Hello from a very cold Dorset - none of the forecast snow here, but we had sleet .

Rusty : I was on Twitter earlier catching up with other tweets and I hope this comes through OK. This is the same angle as the "non-working" live stream.

Sorry to hear of your snow, Elle. I hope it is short-lived
Keep warm all

Hi, Rusty!
Strange , isn't it? I thought of Miss M straight off!
I had "creeps" as my answer to 21d.........but I didn't see "re" for "touching", and I didn't know "ceps" were mushrooms.
I have just realised it is St. Patrick's Day.
Does your family celebrate it?
Our forecast is saying beware of ice tomorrow......from melting snow........

I'll swap you a very cold Poole for a similarly cold South-east London, JG?
I should love to be walking along the beach, with the dog, right now......

Well done, Jazzgirl!
Now Elle will know what a Tweet looks like!

Hello, Elle!
I am surprised you did not know "re"/"touching".
You are usually very clued up on words and English, and grammar etc.
More so than me.
I only got to know "ceps" through doing crosswords!
Yes, our family celebrate St Patrick's Day.
In 2014, the tiny village where my family is from in Donegal, had a marching band in the New York Parade!
To take part in the NY Parade is quite something!
Meant a lot to us.
Snowing here and blue skies and biting wind!

Good morning Elle and Rusty,

NO snow here; +1OC, slight North-West wind and bits of rain.
Our wind influence is coming from the wrong direction to bring
us snow until sometime Sunday night/monday - and I don't think
it will amount to much.

Ceps are beautiful mushrooms, lovely and tasty to eat - Also great
fun going in the woods to pick them up around September/October.
Better be with a knowledgeable friend mushroom-wise, or if in
doubt, go to any pharmacist, and they will tell us if we are safe or not,
but basically, they are easy to recognise.

Good afternoon, Pigale!
You are doing better with the weather than us over here!
Been very windy for days here!
Yes, have to be careful picking mushrooms.
Not something I would do!

I have only picked up Cèpes with someone I totally trusted - I think
he could have survived for months on his own in a forest!

But the danger with cèpes is there are many 'false' eadible ones;
They can be dangerous to the health, though rarely as deadly as
other species.

We have and still do have wind, just less so at present, but it
does not bring us the snow - general tendency either NW or SW!
It varies a lot!

I hope your weather eases up soon

If Laddie has any sense, he may have delayed his arrival and stopped
off somewhere for a wee while?

Hi, Rusty!
I do know that "re" means touch/ touching......but I just didn't "see" it there and then!
I agree that I should have picked up on it.
Wow, that was quite an event, your village band taking part in the New York City St Patrick's Day parade, back in 2014!
Well done, retrospectively!
I am alternating between doing the Jumbo Concise and writing some letters......
I have been debating whether or not to venture forth again in the snow with the dog,
But I think a play in the garden might suffice......she is easy to entertain, and will either run by herself, or walk around with me......it is much too cold. I think , to go further!
Heavy skies...still snowing......

Hello, Pigale!
Very cold here.
A MAXimum of 1C!
My dog will go out regardless of the weather...it is I who has decided to stay home!
Do your cats venture out when it is cold?

Hello, Pigale!
Yes, you have to know what you are doing picking mushrooms!
I wonder if it was Laddie who was seen near Loch Leven?
Loch Leven is a great trout fishing loch.
So, plenty food there for him on his journey.
It was one year ago today that he landed at the loch!

Hello, Elle!
We have two bands. Senior and junior.
The young ones do interchanging movements when they parade.
It impresses me!
They march on many occasions but St Patrick's Day and the Easter Parade are the main ones.
Did you look at Jazzgirl's earlier Tweet?
