Ah, Jazzgirl, decisions!
The Carnation ones look good, indeed.
But, the folks over in Norn Iron are telling me to get "Coffee Mate", also there is "UHT milk" that keeps for ages, and should be found in the coffee aisle.
So, I shall investigate tomorrow, and report back!

Hi, Rusty!
It is good that Miss L-B has let you know that she is safe home.
Goodness, you have a good memory if you can think back to tinned milk as a child?
Yes, tinned Carnation Milk is still around......
I do not like milk or cream so do not drink it, so cannot speak from personal experience, but I am told that Carnation Milk is an unsweetened condensed milk.
You can however buy tins of sweetened condensed milk containing sugar.
I think this may be a little thicker.
I am sure that you will find fresh cow's milk available tomorrow in Asda though!
But if you want to store some "milk" for an emergency, you will probably be best advised to go for a dried variety?
As your friends in Norn Iron suggested.
There has been an incredible number of disqualifications in these Athletic events, hasn't there?
And mostly from lane infringements.
Mind you, Eilidh Doyle and Zoey Clarke have both benefited from this!
Both are now through to the Semi-finals on the tail of such two disqualifications!
What happened with your Cycling?

Hello, Elle,
I shall have a look to see what have they at ASDA, and then decide.
Just for an emergency.
I think there will be milk in the store, though.
My son was at Tesco this evening and said that though it was busy there were no apparent shortages, except chickens.
The cycling was good, though Elinor Barker was in a crash, but rode on though she was unplaced in the "elimination" race.
That used to be called "devil take the hindmost" but it is the "elimination" race nowadays.
Dundee's Mark Stewart won bronze in the points race, which was very good as it's his first World Championships.
An up and coming Chris Hoy, perchance!

We keep a carton or two of semi-skimmed milk in the freezer for emergencies. It's fine.

I used to do just that Kenyatta, only I found it couldn't be kept
for too long and I used to make sure to use it within the month and
replace it.

Hi, Rusty!
All right, I'll give in and ask .... so why is there a shortage of chickens?
Yes, see what the Asda staff advises?
They must know what is a popular "offering" for a milk substitute.
Although I will repeat my warning that the dried milk (in my opinion) does indeed taste foul!
(Sorry.....just realised......no homophone intended here in connection with chickens!)
You seem to have enjoyed the Cycling!
I hope Elinor Barker was not hurt, despite her carrying on with the ride?
Your Mark Stewart has a good career ahead of him if he likely to emulate Chris Hoy!
More Athletics tomorrow - starting at 9 .45 am!
A great weekend ahead!

Hello, Elle!
I do not know why no chickens!
Maybe the supplier could not deliver them.
Yes, the ASDA folks will help me.
I get on very well with them.
They gave me a Christmas card, you know.
No obvious damage to Elinor though her skinsuit was ripped in several places.
One of the Chinese girls was taken away in a wheelchair though.
Mark is just a young lad making his way, but he is promising!
There is only one Chris Hoy!
